Have to agree on Henry. He hasn't shown enough to be an elite TE. Add to that some lack of availability due to injury, and definitely not worth the risk of over payment if it comes to that.

I hear Alex Smith is trying to stage a comeback.

Everybody wants to have the best at every position. Guess what there is only 1 best player at each position, the other 31 teams will have to work with good to very good. HH is very, very good and it would be foolish to keep Green in hopes that he learns how to catch, and then not fumble when he does catch it. Trying to penny pinch at every position is why we are here now.

Wow. Nonsense. Your Brady hate is so strong that your brain can't think straight.

Brady has been to 9 Superbowls.
          Rivers has been to Zero.
Brady just lead his team to 11 straight division titles.
Rivers has not won the AFC west for 10 years.

But lets look at just this last year 2019. Brady did more with less on offense.

          Brady
          24 pass TDs
          3 rush TDs
          8 Ints
          4 Fumbles
          QBR 52.5
          Worse Receivers
          O-line/Pass Block win Rate 58%
          Team Rushing 3.8 per carry

          Rivers
          23 pass TDs
          0 rush TDs
          20 Ints
          8 fumbles
          QBR 48.9
          Better Recievers
          O-line/Pass Block win Rate 58%
          Team Rushing 4.0 per carry

          One more thing.
I have seen Rivers smiling and having fun on the field even when the team is losing. (teammates see this)
Brady will be up 17 points and still angry they are not playing better. (teammates see this)
Who has it better than us?

You forgot the most important thing - Brady play for the Patriots organization coached by Belichick. Rivers played for the Chargers organization coached by the likes of Lynn, McCoy and Norv.

I agree with your post wholeheartedly but Rivers had a QB rating of 88.5 last year while Brady had a QB rating of 88.

I want Brady so we can see .......

                How he does without Belichek
How he does with Chargers & Lynn
                How Rivers does somewhere else

It could answer a lot of questions.

                For instance.....

Rivers goes to Titans or Colts has a great year, makes playoffs and wins a playoff game....or more

Brady goes to Chargers fails to make playoffs...

                Or

Rivers goes to Titans or Colts and fails to make playoffs...

Brady goes to Chargers and makes playoffs and wins a playoff game....or more

Or both succeed in new spots or both fail in new spots.

What wont be interesting is if they return to their old teams. And do what they always do. Brady wins the AFC East. Rivers loses the AFC West. We have seen this show for 10 years.

                Lets mix it up.
Who has it better than us?

That is because Rivers averaged 1.2 yards per pass attempt more than Brady (6.6 vs 7.8). Rivers goes downfield way more than Brady does, which are also riskier throws.

That is passer rating. It just rates the passing stats.
you right it was 88.5 to 88. And its a wierd stat, imo, as Rivers gets credit for throwing for more yards and higher completion percentage, Even though he had 1 less TD and 12 more interceptions. Yards dont mean much if you don't score or you turn it over.

QBR is how well they played overall.
Brady had the higher QBR because he played better.

I understand. But the Eastern Sports Propaganda Network QBR way, ridiculously so over rates running and passing is an afterthought. I just can’t take it seriously.

Why wouldn't you give a QB credit for being able to complete more passes and longer passes than someone who completes fewer, shorter passes? He gets credit for that and penalized for the turnovers.
