Brown is the 4th guy (unfortunately). Inman is the 5th guy IMO. Herndon will challenge The 6th spot if he shows he can handle return duties. Reese/Tutu on the outside looking in.

Still pulling for Sweet Feet. Can't teach speed. Not so sure he wouldn't get claimed. Panthers, Browns, and Raiders come to mind.

Herndon and Reese will go on the PS. If we keep 6 WRs, will be Floyd, Allen, Royal, Brown, Inman, and Tutu. This may be the last Chargers season for Royal, Brown, and Tutu, so Herndon and Reese stand a good chance of making the cut next season.

I'm hoping Reese gets mildly dinged up and can be stashed on IR for a year. Inman appears to have the inside track after that game last week, but 3 more preseason games to go.

That would be disastrous! It would mean Reese would not be able to practice with the team, which means he would lose a year of development.

No, no, unless he genuinely gets a major injury, do not place him on IR. The kid has potential, but nobody is going to poach him from our PS because doing so means they'd have to waive someone to put Reese on their active roster. Reese is the prototypical PS player: extremely talented but extremely raw, and needs a red-shirt year or two to learn the pro game and develop, which he can only do if he is working with a team.

I still think brown will get cut and either reese or Herndon make it as the 6th WR. Inman to me is a guy that is ready to play on gamedays, which makes VB expandable.

I like the fact that he has reportedly very strong hands and attacks the ball. Perhaps we got a UDFA gem in the making. A lot of receivers make it as UDFA because of the college system they were in or the lack of a decent QB resulted in them being passed over due to deflated stats.

Herndon will have to step it up next two games. Seattle was probably looking at him last night and Pete Carroll likes to grab young guys like that at cutdown time--He may not make it to our PS.
