Marshall now a Safety

I'm not really talking about deep speed, I'm talking about explosion and short area quickness (in a sense). A player can know exactly what's gonna happen and react to it, but if he can't get there in short order it won't matter (the ball is already there). Not so much 40 times, but 10-20 yard times in essence - football game speed. Allen and Brown (WRs I know) had similar 40 times, but if you watch them off the line, it's night and day.

There was a clip of Verrett I linked during training camp that shows exactly what I mean. The guy explodes off the field like he was shot out of a cannon when he's breaking on the ball.

Now, don't discount deep speed completely either. All it takes is 1 go route being completed for a TD.

You guys also act like reaction time and quickness isn't related to a players overall speed. It is.
