Why hasn’t Rivers tried an off season running program? Are we supposed to believe he couldn’t get even a little better? Would add a lot to his game IMO.

But alas, there’s only $50m on the line for a few more seasons and that’s not enough reason to get out of bed I guess.

      1) sign Rivers
      2) fix OL
      3) fix IDL and MLB
      4) fix special teams
and if they have money or draft picks, a fast WR and CB
I'm a Rivers fan and think he has a year or two left in the tank, but...River's isn't going to sell tickets in LA. He didn't last year when the team won 12 games and a playoff game and certainly won't coming off a 5-11 season. So if by win the city you mean sell tickets or even capture fan interest, I don't see it happening. Drafting a Burrow or Tua "might" generate some curiosity, but honestly - having a sustained period of winning is what will SLOWLY build interest.

Not a great take as Rivers came into camp in superb condition. He is just slow.

I doubt there's going to be many who will pay money to go see Tyrod Taylor. Maybe Stick could be the successor at QB, but the team will have to work him up to his potential and take time with it.

sorry, thats what I mean, team needs to win
are they going to win more games with Rivers at QB and an upgraded OL , Interior DL around him
                or
Tua or Herbert at QB even with an updated OL and Interior DL around him

But lose in the playoffs. He’s a great starter, we might not be able to do better next season, but his record for game-winning drives speaks for itself.

he used to be so money in december that it became philcember. now it's more like dismember instead of december. I'm not against resigning him but they HAVE to do something with the OLine and not sure if this nincumpoop FO can do that. Oh and resign only if it's reasonable and not put the team in cap hell. we still have young cornerstones to sign long-term in the very near future. unfortunately I cant see them resigning rivers to what he wants and still have enough to fix either side of the line in FA.

                      How much does Rivers want?

I think the chargers are in the suck for Trevor next year. They will fir Lynn and start from scratch next year with first pick. They have no plans on bringing Rivers back just to win 5-7 games.

We can win 5 games with Taylor. More if we overspend on FA OL. Do it, TT.
