On the Training Camp Thread, he complains about our off-topic conversations about camping/backpacking... suggests that we should be talking about training camp exclusively... as if he's interested in any Chargers training camp info... he's not.

The M.O. is the same too... he's completely uninterested in anything Chargers... wants us to recognize "Title Town" as some sort of superior experience/tradition.

Perhaps just create a Packers thread (or 1 for all 31 other teams) & just keep rerouting his posts there so PackersNation can bark in the wind all day long to himself, just not in this thread anymore, I want the other 31 teams equally covered, not a 70/30 ratio of Packers talk.

I really don't want to figure out how to mute him.

I used to go to a bar in OB that was owned by a Packers' fan (Tiny's Bar)... used to watch football there on Sundays. About 1/3 of the bar was relocated Packers' fans... about 1/3 Chargers fans... about 1/3 fans of various teams. They were cool... and loved their Packers. But they also realized how lucky they were to be living in SD. To the person, they had come to SD to go to school... and they were never going back (we all know the story). But they were all very respectful... and actually took an interest in the Chargers (out of respect for the locals). And in return, I enjoyed learning about their team. I was a Jordy Nelson and Clay Mathews fan. Sadly, Tiny passed away, the bar closed down, and I lost contact with those folks... and didn't continue keeping up with their team. The Packers often draft guys I like though. Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage were guys I liked a lot. But now, both are gone.

I just don't see that effort from PackerNation. It's hard for me to understand why a guy goes to another team's site... and shows no interest in that team or their culture. Then he tries to ram his team/culture down their throat...? Fricking weird...

BTW... I was one of the first to notice the Packers had cap issues a few years back... and suggest we poach Corey Linsley. The more you know about others' teams... It's what makes TPB one of the best forums in the country... just a wealth of knowledge here... our draft conversations are deep dives... I still remember the deep discussions we had about Jordan Love from Utah State... and how many of us had watched him in college (against the Aztecs) years before the Packers drafted him. And now dude is here trying to convince us Jordan Love is better (or even rivals) Just Herbert... SMH...

I wasnt a fan of Love coming out....and he didnt start well last season after sitting for 3-4 years. Seems to have figured it out. Not that i care. Good for him though.

It looks to me they did a 1 year deal for him and he got a 13 5 mil bonus mil up front bonus for doing that for whatever reason they felt was a good faith move, that he wouldn't have got in the 5th year option. So good on them for doing that. Threw him a bone after declining his 5th year the year before.

It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other.

It's not that I want to talk Packers with you. It's football so I will but I'm not a Packers fan in any shape or form but i do like to keep up on things in general.
I don't need to grasp it, I just didn't know they declined his 5th year and not that interested in his cap hit. It will go up every year is what I do know.

I know you are excited he got a new deal but understand that we here, do not care about his new deal or the Packers. So expecting some hand claps or some 'thank goodness for that ' about it, you in the wrong place to be making those last comments.
