I just don't understand how scouts can be so awful. Forum members can see he isn't franchise material.
He was a worse pick than Kyle Boller.

Joe Milton is relatively the same type of QB but he was a 5th rounder.

The guy is big, mobile and has a rocket arm. I would guess teams see that and hope they can mold the player into the next Josh Allen.

It's a very high risk/reward choice but even if there are higher floor/lower ceiling prospects a high percentage of Qb's drafted end up being busts for various reasons.

That's one way to look at it, the other way is that Harbaugh understands that Hortiz is limited by how much he can do at this point, why throw your GM under the bus by making it sound like he gave you chicken shit to work with? I expected more from Bozeman, Pipkins was actually playing okay before he hurt his shoulder, Trey has played like shit since that happened...

the reason why more trades don't happened before the deadline is because of what that means for the teams trading their players, the message to the fan base is that we're throwing in the towel and trying to get even low round draft picks is more important than keeping this guy on the roster for a potential extra win or two...

Moon actually had four years in college, as he spent one year in junior college, where he set records. He had two terrible years at Washington and then turned it around as a senior. Then he spent six seasons in the CFL, before moving on to the NFL. So, there's no comparison in the experience between Anthony Richardson and Warren Moon before they entered the NFL. Moon was 28 years old when he took his first NFL snap, after winning five Grey Cups in the CFL. He threw for over 5,000 yards in two of the seasons he played in Canada.

W. Moon was too strong for the CFL.
He had incredible seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos, oups, with the Edmonton Elks.

She told him she remembered when rookie QB’s would sit a season or two. Now, fans expect them to be All Pro day one.

That's fine, but I doubt Richardson will ever be worth the fourth overall pick the Colts invested in him. Unfortunately for him, it's not very likely he'll get the experience Moon did in Canada.

If they give up on him, he might make for an interesting reclamation project in a stable situation on a good team that doesn't need a Qb right away.

Completely different era, plus he had 6 seasons in the CFL. Bad example.

If a college QB can't complete 60% in college, chances are he might not in the NFL. Josh Allen being an exception.

I just remember him saying that he had faith that they would eventually grasp their assignments ...... he had faith in them (that they would stop screwing up).

My reference to Staley was more that almost everything that came out of his mouth was BS . . . . . . . . . . regardless of the subject matter. I get that Harbaugh has no interest in saying anything negative (publicly) about anyone related to the team, which is a good thing (I think), as long as he's being realistic in his evaluations behind closed doors . . . . .

Well, I do agree. They used the 4th overall on him so they need to give him some time. I don't think he has it but sitting him after 10 starts won't help him either.

Thing is, the HCs don't get the time either so Steichen may be thinking of his situation first here.
