Norv was great in that role when he had 4, 5, or 6 future HOF players playing offense for him. When he didnt - naw. jmo, at least he is (was) a professional football coach so I guess in the warped LVR perspective of amateur goofs it actually may be an upgrade.

I looked it up in the NFL dictionary.

'Norved' means taking a team deeper in the playoffs than Marty could.

That can be said of 99% of coordinators. I don’t think Norv will help the Turds, they have no talent. No coach would help, they need divine intervention not coaching. That being said Rivers and the Chargers O had some really good seasons under Norv, I am not a Narv fan but just being honest regarding him as an O coordinator.

Pierce now has Marvin Lewis, Tom Coughlin, Joe Philbun and Norv Turner on staff as advisors.

That’s a lot of old former head coach advisors and predominantly losers.

I read that Pierce (who ran a perennial powerhouse high school team into the ground in only two seasons in his only prior head coaching experience) assembled his staff just randomly picking coaches with no thought to philosophy, strategy or vision. And then he expected the coaches to “work it all out”
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Yeah, you want a real coach, look what Andy Reid has done with those jags in KC.

99% of coordinators are not crowned genius like Norv once was. But he's not the only example, I agree with you there. We suffered a more recent defensive equivalent in Gus. He was dubbed defensive genius in SEA,turns out his genius was having one of the most stacked defensive rosters in the league in their heyday.

Agree, look what Donald and that corner (cant remember his name) did for Staley on defense.

I think there are defensive coordinators that can do more with less talent as opposed to the offensive side of the ball. Without players the O is really handicapped.

                    What are the cowboys doing?

They traded a 4th round pick to the panthers for mingo and in the process they messed up the WR trade market for remaining teams, making the Steelers giving up a 5th for Williams look like a steal…

TreDarius White CB goes to Ravens. He was talked about as a possible Charger move for CB depth

What’s on Aaron’s forehead? Did he carve a swastika like Charlie Manson?
