I feel bad for the raiders qb. I know Norv loves the long developing play regardless of personel. Nevermind. I don’t feel bad. Those are sacks for our DOriginally posted by Heatmiser View PostPierce now has Marvin Lewis, Tom Coughlin, Joe Philbun and Norv Turner on staff as advisors.
That’s a lot of old former head coach advisors and predominantly losers.
I read that Pierce (who ran a perennial powerhouse high school team into the ground in only two seasons in his only prior head coaching experience) assembled his staff just randomly picking coaches with no thought to philosophy, strategy or vision. And then he expected the coaches to “work it all out”

I remember this play, it was pretty clear it was a false start, it wasn't even that borderline. That much of an early start gets called all the time, Taylor has been flagged for it multiple times. But the zeebs decided to let it go.

Norv and Telesco leading the Raiders, oh boy!
That's the last 16 years of Charger failure joining forces with a dumpster fire in its 22nd year.
Norv has been an outsider who can take an unbiased fresh look at the team with experienced eyes.
He's not going to be a play caller on the sidelines.
He can look at the whole team and see where the strengths and weaknesses in players and coaches are and make recommendations for changes because the Raiders obviously need them.
We can agree they need some serious changes, right?
It might start with the QB's they have for example. With Norv's extensive experience with QB development, he can tell them if either QB is worth wasting anymore time with or they have to move on.

It doesn't take an expert to see that they don't have a QB worth developingOriginally posted by Riverwalk View Post

The ref had money on the game, calling that obvious penalty would go against the NFL directive and be a financial conflict of interest for him.Originally posted by Velo View PostI remember this play, it was pretty clear it was a false start, it wasn't even that borderline. I'm not a Norv fan but there's no question that he's worked for a lot of NFL teams who had QBs including the Raiders for a couple losing years. Hopefully he has the same impact.Originally posted by Riverwalk View Post

My experience with Norv's Chargers was one of gradually watching the most talented team in the league sink down into the mud of mediocrity.Originally posted by Riverwalk View Post
