Davis is cut , LS or someone else is our retuner
QJ is traded at some point before the season and getting a pick helps since we will have no comp picks for next year...might even trade Pip at some point.

To a few of ya's dismay, we sign Keenan who can further help our guys in route running.

    MW
    McConkey
    Harris
    Keenan
    Lambert-Smith
    Rice
Agree about Reagor - he might ask to be cut here pretty quickly if he is looking at the roster.
Davis is the KR/PR and Ficken loves him - Popper has him a lock on the roster
QJ could be on the hot seat - but unless traded - I think Johnston will have to earn his roster spot in training camp. IF QJ is traded - just look at what Elijah Molden and Taylor Heinecke were traded for - that is probably the value of QJ. Don't expect much. 2 more years for a total of about $4.6m for the two year s- all guaranteed

Why would they trade Pipkins? Becton has had injury concerns plus Pipkins a solid back up OT and could be RG again. Chargers don't need the cap space -- I think you keep Pipkins

Popper said the chances of Allen coming back are almost nil. I just don't see where he fits. Maybe if a bunch of what you say above happens - at that point. But I think the big thing that would have to happen is they trade QJ

I think QJ is the main tradable player. Despite his inconsistency he did show a jump from 1st to 2nd year and had decent stats, some team might trade something decent for him.
As for Reagor, they can just let it play out in camp and if he gets cut there's a good chance he ends up a PS player imo.

I’ve bet Pipkins is going nowhere.

I’ll double down: QJ is going nowhere. Reagor will be probably be gone, they value Q over Reagor and they should. Q is better than Reagor and Q is working hard again this off season to give the best he can. He’ll show another step in improvement.

They are not going back down to the minimum #weapons count again, they just did that and were bit in the ass. Harris upgrades Palmer. L+S replaces Reagor. they are retaining WR depth. 5 WR + DD ST, Q is in that 5. Guarantee.

Your 2025 WR room will be:
        QJ
        Harris
        Dub
        McConk
        DD
        L+S

I can’t guarantee Q will be active every week though - need to see everyone out on the field and executing the offense first.

Well see. I certainly could be wrong but that's my predictions and if he can't beat out our 5th rounder, he certainly can be traded.

Ficken could love Davis , but he is a tiny reciever we don't hardly use taking up a roster spot. We just got two better receivers that are much bigger and one COULD return kicks. If he can I'm just saying that makes Davis expendable because Lambert -Smirh is known as a good STs player

It's about improving the team and speaking of which, I don't want Pipkins playing OG period. Save his cap, pick up someon else after cuts, save his cap. Don't need to do it now, when it's the right time.

QJs salary means nothing right now and again, he has improved but it's about improving the team. If we get a 6th, we get a 6th

Hortiz said they are always looking to improve the team. QJs 5th round option may be an attraction to a team as well.

          Just a prediction.

Don't care if Ficken lives Davis. Tiny reciever we don't hardly use taking up a roster spot. We just got two better receivers that are much bigger and one COULD return kicks.

So what option is better at back up OT than Pipkins. I agree about Pipkins at OG - but talking about OT as well. Chargers could use a better than average backup swing OT as Slater has been hurt. I don't see a need to get rid of Pipkins for just cap space.

And the players that will be cut will be shittier than Pipkins. You bust my fucking balls about Andy Isabella - you did it again the other fucking day and now you want some chump off the street

And for the fucking record - who did Joe Hortiz draft at WR
Tre Harris - VERTICAL threat that is good on contested catches, up the sideline with better speed than Mike Williams - even in Williams prime -
KLS - -VERTICAL threat with speed that can get downfield
So basically the type of WR I think they needed. And he not only drafted one of them, he drafted TWO of them because as Popper pointed out -- Herbert is best getting the ball downfield. 20+ yard passes

As for Dariius Davis - -I thin Ficken does have a say in building up special teams

Get over it already --Allen is not coming back. You and Tyler Shoon can cry in your pillows over "Slayer"

Davis is a weapon as a PR/KR guy and made some big plays the few times Roman called them for him. Can't have too many of those.

The case for DD is that he's cheap and a pro bowl caliber ST returner. That has value, also when they actually throw him the ball downfield he's made a couple plays. If he ends up getting beat out in camp then sure cut him or try to trade him but until then he's not a liability on the roster imo.

What does or WR depth chart look like right now?

                    1. McConkey
                    2. Harris
                    3. QJ
                    4. DD
                    5. KLS(unless or until he beats out DD)
                    6. Williams
                    7. Rice
                    8. Reagor

Does anyone actually think that old man Williams, Reagor or Rice are keepers? Does anyone think that we will keep any of them over a draft pick or QJ? I don't. McConkey and QJ are the only receivers we have who actually performed last year.

Yeah, Davis brings more to the table than QJ.
Look for JH to try and get anything for him up until training camp.
Are Cornelius Johnson and Brendan Rice still around?

QJs numbers are on par with Mike Williams #'s after two years. Their career ark is looking very similar. 8 TDs last year makes him better depth than Reagor or DD but DD plays special teams or he would have already been cut. As a gadget receiver he doesn't bring much and in a way we have to adapt the offense to him to get him plays because he doesn't offer much as a traditional receiver. If he did he would be our slot Wide Receiver.

They will keep 6, with DD primarily ST. DD only had 13 REC for 112 yards last year, at times when the WR room was empty. no need to think of him as their secret weapon. Harris and KLS both beat him into formations this year.

Rice and Reagor = PS. No Slayer return.
