It's a completely different culture now. There were a lot of good FA decisions made this off-season. Many good draft decisions. We are way closer than anybody realizes. All of the guessing and arguing ends this weekend.

Both offense and defense are 180 degrees different. Herbie will not be abandoned. Jim specifically chose the Chargers for this reason.
I agree with you. But not everyone can go cold turkey like you and I, especially after decades of nopium abuse. The guys need time for rehab, recovery, support. Love.

I love you guys - take as much time as you need, we’re here for you. No hard feelings here that you’re not ready yet

Any loss will piss PBs off.
A massive crushing loss to the Turds? Yes, we blow up.
I hope this fantasy meets your need to be punished.
        No eggs will be laid.
We won't have long to wait. You're gaining on Velo.

We should be a top 10 offense, better than average D. That's a baseline if everything is just OK. If they go well, we're a playoff team.
I do not believe we will not be top10 offence in terms of points scored.

P.s. Fun fact some time ago NBA was doing some gamea in London, my fav BB team was coming I was so excited i got rush night before game, I was still applying cream in half time at men toilet

He had the long range view towards matters ..... fair enough.

Now, with a loss, it seems like QSmokey will be in hot rage, again.
I didn't root against the Chargers, no. In fact, I was busy with a family matter and didn't even get to watch that game (fortunately for me).

And you are wrong; I'm not EXPECTING a win against the Raiders, so no hot rages will be coming from me. I feel that it's anybody's game at this point. I think this team needs time to get their 'sea legs', so to speak. This is Game #1 in a year with a large amount of turnover and a completely new coaching staff. To EXPECT them to hit the ground running is a lot to ask, IMO.

I’ve already gone on record myself predicting an ugly win with Dicker saving the day (12-6). Our D looks like it could very well hit the ground running, but I’d be shocked if our O did. Gotta be realistic, these guys need time to gel. Peak late for a playoff run.
Offseason signature space for rent. Inquire within.

The Raiders have turned over 1/2 of their coaching staff, including their OC, and are starting a new QB so the sea legs issue at least partially applies to them as well.

This does bring the need for a competent backup QB into sharper focus, doesn't it? Thank God we've got football people who understand this concept (now) . . . . . . . . .

                        I don't care how they win - style points don't count . . . . . . . . . . .I suspect we'll play quite a bit of 'ugly' football early this season. Hopefully most of those games can be wins . . . . . .

I get your point but for me? Honestly NO. I've always known football is dangerous and have seen spectacularly awful QB injuries.

                          Protect Herbert. Period.

ps: Nothing against Heinicke. I like him.
