Chiefs released DE Mike Danna.
Danna was selected by the Chiefs in the fifth-round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The veteran pass rusher totaled 21.5 sacks, 25 TFLs, and one interception in 87 games with the Chiefs and was a part of two Super Bowl-winning teams. The release of Danna, who will be 28 at the start of next season, saves the Chiefs $8.940 million against the cap. He should have plenty of suitors on the market as a pass-rushing specialist.

I think he peaked a couple years ago - hence the contract before the 2024 season. 24/3. Depth piece at best at this point. Wouldn't count in the comp pick game. If you upgrade IDL and want a guy after Oweh and Tuli, that is if Mack isn't back, about the only way he makes sense. Did go to Michigan - so there is that connection I guess. Still don't see him as a ChargerOriginally posted by CanadianBoltFan View PostChiefs released DE Mike Danna.

Good analysis, B4K. Also, Spags is such a tremendous coordinator, I wonder how effective some of the more fringe Chiefs defenders will be on other teams away from him. Chris Jones will be Chris Jones everywhere. But a guy like Danna may be just another guy somewhere else, away from that system and the play callsLike, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Antonio Gibson
Patriots released RB Antonio Gibson.
Gibson suffered a torn ACL in Week 5 of last season and had one year remaining on the three-year deal he signed in 2024. The Patriots will save $3.140 million against the cap with the release of Gibson, who rushed for 25-106-1 in limited action last season. During his two years with the Patriots, Gibson rushed 145 times for 644 yards and two touchdowns while adding another 25-212-0 through the air. The soon-to-be 28-year-old back who had totaled 984 touches in his career should land elsewhere this upcoming season, but he’ll likely have to battle for playing time wherever he signs.

Chris Jones looked he he's started the timeless slide against Father Time last year if you ask me.Originally posted by Heatmiser View PostGood analysis, B4K. Be curious what other moves KC makes - they've still got a lot of work to do. Estimates are they are between 2 and 6 mil over the cap still. They need to get to ~+30M just to cover the draft class and PS, without signing any new FA players above league min?
This is homey's restructure - for some reason they take the biggest hit next year (pre-planning for another restructure?). Can anyone explain to me what these 4 Void years do or are supposed to do 2032 - 2035? I don't have a PhD in cap shenanigans, I don't get it.

KC could always trade down in the draft to avoid paying top dollar to 1st and 2nd rounders...Originally posted by dmac_bolt View Post

He hasnt been very productive. I hope we dont pursue him, id think a day 2, maybe even a day 3 draft pick can be close to what he would give.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View PostChiefs released DE Mike Danna.
