I'm seriously bummed for Aaron and Jets Nation.

Foot got locked into that ridiculous artificial turf. On grass don't think that turns out that way.

100% agree. And because it relates so much, I'll again cite that quote I mentioned at the start of the Sofi Artificial Turf thread:

These injuries on artificial turf often happen due to the increased frictional force between your shoes and the artificial grass when you plant your foot on the ground, it is more strongly stuck in that spot. As such, any twisting of your upper body will put a greater stress on the ACL, leading to a higher chance of tearing the ligament.^1] With natural grass, the planted foot would more easily be able to move, preventing the high forces put on the knee and reducing the risk of injury. Additionally, the increased risk of ACL injury associated with activity on artificial turf is made worse by hot or dry weather conditions, with increased injury rates in the summer months."

Tillery was cut because we had a better replacement (Morgan Fox). Fox was... is... will be a better IDL player.

Also, Tillery reportedly was sulking and missed practice because we didn't pick up that 5th year option on him...

Jerry Tillery is a cream puff... inside and out. I hated the pick at the time.

Jerry Tillery had a sack for the Raiders yesterday. I'll just say this, Tillery could rush the passer from the interior DL better than any IDL the Chargers have had in a while. And when you get that kind of push against the passer from the middle, it really helps out the edge rushers. That was my only concern about cutting Tillery, losing that ability. The Chargers haven't replaced that dimension either. It doesn't seem any of our IDL can rush the passer effectively.

Cowboys suffered *two* season ending ACLs in their third preseason game. An LB and a tight end Yes, Artificial Turf.

If owners are happy seeing their $10 and $200 million dollar players getting wrecked by turf...they should continue doing what their doing.
