Didn’t see the Rams game but I heard there were some injuries at our sofi stadium
starting to really suspect the turf has a lot to do with it
fake grass = more injuries
really hope they change it next season

Does it get enough sunlight in there to grow grass? It doesn't look like it in the pictures I've seen.

I wonder what the players are saying about that surface?

Bosa said something close to..... that he felt beat up from playing the first couple of home games. It’s only a few inches of rubber padding over concrete.

They went to all that trouble to build a $5 billion complex and forgot the most important part of the product. Protecting the product with a good playing surface. Incredible misplaced priorities

The Cardinals and Raiders have their grass field on rollers and grow it outside and roll it in on gamedays.

Better than the old days when there was next to no padding lol. Players said it was like playing on concrete and they would get rug burns all the time.
The turf is better than those days but grass is always best.

Pittsburgh still uses grass but changed it to Kentucky Blue Grass in 2017 which is more durable after years of the field getting tore up from rain and snow. The Pitt Panthers play on it as well.
Pittsburgh has grass!! And its because the Owners listened to the players and coaches.

The roof at Sofi has a filter to remove most of the UV rays, but still has plenty of sunshine left after that.
