He would have been a good pair WITH Kendrick but he over-valued himself. A common error, now he gets a 1-year prove it deal. I wish him the best, he was a good Charger.

I think he can cover Mayer, don’t think he can stick with Kincaid - if TT is thinking about our key arch foe nemesis at all … cough … ahem. Washington - hmm, he can stick with him but can he cover him? Not sure … depends how well Washington learns the AG School of Post-Up to wall off the defender and give Herbie a target. he is a beast and will out-muscle them but he’s not running away from many LBs in the first 20 where he’ll get most of his work.

Washington would flatten him in rush plays as well
Agree: . Not a starter but looks good rushing the QB. Probably play some TE coverage. KC loves to put guys in multiple positions. Good depth.

Drue was an asset on passing downs, liability vs run. 31 yo former All Pro Kendricks is a better everydown player.

Agreed. Tranquil will be used to his strengths in KC. With LAC he was exposed to power running too much (covering for Murray's lapses). Really a specialist - not an every down LB. Classic Donnie Edwards drag down tackler (7 yds downfield).

Agree with this. Drue was definitely one of the (few) to have even moderate success. Kyzir White would be another. These guys need to be paired up with the appropriate 'thumper' LB - we just could never manage to get it right.

We are most definitely thin at LB. After Kendricks we've got Murray (sigh) and then a whole bunch of ???. Depending on your view of Murray you could make the argument that we've only got 1 starter level (not star) LB on the team ATM. Position needs significant improvements if we're going to stop the run next year. Speaking of tweeners; since we're currently lacking in LB talent does it make sense to have DJ bulk up (a bit) and step into the coverage LB role? Or does that just make a bigger hole in the secondary? I've not been that impressed with DJ's coverage abilities.

If we cannot stop the run consistently next year we're cooked - no matter what other improvements we make. Teams will grind our defense down, take time off the clock (away from our offense) and kill us with PA.

              Mecole Hardman to Jets

That WR room is getting very crowded

If I was Telesco I would be making a call about Denzel Mims. This regime never uses him already, was drafted in the 2nd by previous regime. Bet he could be had for 4th or 5th round pick.

6 ft 4 207 runs 4.38 and has shown flashes when been given the chance

Would look real good joining Allen, Williams, Palmer

Mims is far more enticing to me than Guyton, especially a fairly one dimensional speed guy coming off torn ACL. Of course i have to admit i have never been a huge Guyton guy..a few huge long TDs...but a few huge long drops to go with them

Might be because he isn't very good, idk but when you're signing the likes of Randall Cobb who misses half the year it seems Mims isn't in the plans and not living up to what they thought.
I keep saying speed isn't everything.

                      I'd prefer 2 speed guys . . . . one's not enough.

Cobb is way over the hill and he is Diva Rodgers little pet...has absolutely nothing to do with Mims

Jets moved Elijah Moore to Browns, definately better than Cobb at this point...all for Aaron
