I’m all for professional guys being on our team. Only helps Quentin having guys he can learn from. Makes our other receivers jobs easier.

this is all about the Quarterback. He throws a perfect ball. Hopkins is a prescise route runner with great hands mittens.

I think he wants to play with a top Quarterback makes him look better.

It’s L.A. our red zone offense will be tremendous.

we don't need him - the Chargers WR room is fine.

Our WR group is one of the strongest elements of the team, right after QB. I'd take Hopkins if he was willing to work for the vet minimum, but I wouldn't sacrifice improvements in some of the weaker areas for him . . . . .

The Chargers just added two WR in the draft to upgrade the arsenal to the best it's been since the Herbert era began. If this was before the draft, I'd say yes to DHop without hesitation.

Plus, we have Jalen Guyton. So we good. :~)

This is non sense, if D Hop wants to come here, you take him. That WR room would be insane. He got released so the money and where is up to him.

Yeah...uh err maybe not...I'm sure he wants to earn a decent paycheck starting next year so maybe it's not in our best interests to bring him on board.

Chargers already have, what 35% of their salary cap tied up in WR? Just guessing, but it is high. They neither need nor can they afford Hopkins. And between injury and suspension he has missed most of the last two seasons.

He will either take a one year discount deal to chase a Super Bowl (Chiefs, Bills) or go for the money and sign with someone like Cleveland or Chicago.

But the Chiefs and Bills who have less cap space than the Chargers - are probably talking to Hopkins and were interested in trading for him during the draft. The Bills - if they sign him, will probably give him 10-12m in cash.

I agree that if spending the money - spend it on areas to improve the roster. Granted, those players will probably not be better PURE football players than DHop (if healthy)

Agreed - but I can think of many areas that need improvement more than our WR group . . . . . . . and there's no way in hell Dhop plays for even remotely close to the vet minimum . . . . . . he's coming off a 2 year 54mil contract - I'm sure his version of a discount would be to play for 10mil / year.
