When I lived in MI, I briefly dated a Mexican gal from Mexico City. Blue eyed blonde and very hot - Her dad’s family was German, mom’s= Spanish. European background is dominant in the upper class in the capital. Not as much in Baja but some for sure.

Yep...a LOT of Europeans settled in Mexico...French, Italians, Spanish, Germans, Irish...and u r exactly right about upper class...in the society pages of Mexican newspapers it's considered quite a feather in your cap to have a European name...there still is an upper class in Mexico--they tend to network between themselves, which helps their business...when I was living in Mexico I was a teacher. I once was invited by a young lady, a TV reporter who was in my ESL class, to a dinner attended by ALL upper class members of a certain social club. They had monthly dinner meetings. They were gathered around a big table at a real fancy (and expensive) restaurant. There were about 20-30 of them. I asked my date what I had to do to be a member of the "Club" (they have names for social clubs). She told me to be a member, I had to pay for everyone's dinner once a year, including a HEFTY wine and beer tab. Oops, on my lowly teacher's salary, that cut ME out...

Thats good, right? I’ve read for years here that it was a deficient unprofessional facility and one of the reasons the Chargers don’t win more. In fact, i believe it was Exhibit B for why Spanos Sucks!

I don't think the place by the IKEA is in play for the deal. Just the Jack Hammett Sports Complex, and probably a local hotel.

More details here, only Season Ticket holders, guests and sponsors can attend, and they are talking to Costa Mesa High to use it as a locker room and weight room
