I've had the thought before that-- for a fair price-- Minshew would be a good #2 QB for the Chargers.

I wouldn't have thought of him as a Top 16 QB in the league, though.

He seems like the kind of QB that-- given enough time-- he'll make the crucial mistake that swings the game in the opponent's favor. But as a backup that no opponent prepares for, I think he could be solid in that kind of role.

If Minshew is a top 16 QB, he'd have gotten 35 million + per year instead of 12.

Raiders could have gotten a positional player for that money who would have helped them more.
Instead, they spend it on a contingency plan if Aiden McConnell regresses badly.

If the Chiefs had just let Snead walk they would have gotten a 3rd round supplemental pick in 2025. All this trade gets them is an earlier 3rd round pick in 2025 and a 7th. For one of the best corners in the league.
