Brady not necessary to win Superbowl.

I hate to explain my own joke, but you do know what I meant about going to the light...?

Best thing about Tom Brady is he is still about as far away from the west coast and the Chargers as he can be...

Wish I lived on the west coast....

Where are our resident capologists? Looks to me we still have plenty of money left...room for Bosa and some of our other favorite sons to be resigned/extended in the near future?

Daniel Popper things the team has about $8-9m left of cap space - but he is also including money for draft picks and the emergency IR fund. So if you are looking at OTC - it will be higher So maybe a player like Peters - do some cap magic and give him a deal that gets him some decent cash.

Not sure how many of their own they bring back save Adrian Phillips....

Vikings signed Pierce for 3/27;- very similar to Josephs 2/17.. a bit higher

EDIT: Trufant signed with Lions for 2/21 - so very similar to Harris

This tells me that Telesco and the coaching staff viewed Joseph and Harris higher than Pierce and Trufant -- or maybe they took the money first.

I'm surprised some players are still out there the things have moved so fast. Melvin Gordon? He's not going to like his price tag I bet. Jameis Winston? Who else is out there not signed yet?

Teams know that this draft is so deep in quality RB's that they can pick one up who's about as good or even better than Gordon in rounds 3-5, and for a LOT cheaper than the coin Gordon is probably still asking for...he may have to settle for playing in the CFL...for about $2 mil a year...in Canadian dollars...

If some HC can get Winston to stop turning it over all the time. 5000yd 33TD isn't easy to do.
What about Saints on 3/18m to back up Brees. They could hit big if he figures out how to slow down on the turnovers.

Who has it better than us?

Popper thinks we have about $8.5 million left to spend on FAs (not including other money set aside for our rookies and some for in season signings). We still have some of our own FA out there we could use it on bringing back Phillips and Square.

                        Jags have 12 picks now.
                        That's too many.
                        They will trade up somewhere.
                        Machine says #6 for #9 & #20 would be a go.
This creates potential opportunities for LAC.
                        eg. Draft Hurts at #71,
vs trade #71 to JAC for some 4th rounders (RBs & WRs galore.)

I was thinking along the same lines... Depending how the top 5 go, a trade down may be on the table. If the top 5 are Burrow, Young, Simmons, Wirfs and Tua, and trade down could make sense.
