Yep...with 13 seconds left and a hail Mary pass is the only offensive team's chance, that's the ONE time where a picket fence with 2-3 deep defensive backs makes sense...

Williams = a sacrificial lamb similar to us firing Whiz last year...won't help much, but the Jets, unlike the Bolts, at least did SOMETHING...

Problem is the Chargers could still rush 3 drop everyone back and the other team will complete the pass. Chargers have zero ball hawks on this defense. They aren't good at creating the timely turnovers

He deserved it. Blitzing 7 with 13 seconds left when you leave two rookie CB out there on man coverage with a guy that runs a 4.27? Should of rushed 3, dropped 8. A FG wasnt going to win.
This is the NFL...how the hell do these guys keep getting jobs in a professional league?

Salary cap MAY be higher than expected in 2021

After initial fears that the 2021 NFL salary cap could be $175 million, many around the NFL reportedly now think it will be higher.

Agreed. I mean, just make a statement that your organization will not tolerate historic losses, historically bad special teams, and historically inept results week after week.

Just. Make. A. Statement. Fire Lynn and give your fans some hope. Is that too much to ask?

PS I agree, Lynn seems like a great dude. I just don't want him running our whole football team.

exactly....... most bone headed move since Giants handed off (instead of kneeling) on last play of game they had won and Philly scooped up fumble and returned it for winning score with no time on clock.....

Jets should have had 5 across at the 10 to protect against deep ball and 3 across at the 30 to tackle any dump offs...... and 3 man rush....

Ironically Greg Williams was the DC for the 0-16 Cleveland Browns. Career in the NFL over?

tanking for Trevor as the play before, 15 on the Raiders got behind the DB but the pass was overthrown..

you only play that defense if you are trying to lose . If you are trying to win, the CBs are playing 25 yards off and just keep going back plus there is deep safety help

you might rush 4 -- and have like you said the other 7 playing deeper as unless they catch the ball and get out of bounds, the clock would keep running on any completionk not in the end zone

It should have been over with Bountygate.

Not to rehash an old controversy but if anyone thinks bountygate was far out of the ordinary, they’re naive
MOST of all NFL defensive history are grown men LITERALLY trying to hurt/injure/send to the hospital/all the above, offensive guys. It’s as plain as day.
Williams just made a game of it, and many players participated. I have no doubt every club has had their share of injury bets.
wts Williams looks like a dinosaur these day, the NFL won’t miss him.
                        Chargers vs. Everyone

THIS. Wentz's mechanics degrade throughout the season and he begins throwing pidgeon-toed! Have you noticed it too? Carson Wentz has the worst mechanics in the league right now. Starting with his awful footwork.....

By contrast: Tom Brady still goes through his basic mechanics, hand-written on 3 X 5 cards, before every game, since 2000.
