This would be interesting. I didn't realize the JimmyG cap hit was so small. The 49ers did a good job with that contract - they had the cap space two years ago and front loaded instead of back loaded like so many teams usually have to do.

Brady to the Niners - his hometown team. Now that makes a lot of sense to me. More than the Chargers and Raiders. Good defense, good OL, good running game. I can see this happening

I never thought it was a real thing as I thought JGs contract was a problem. But with their cap space two years ago, they really were smart and front loaded it. Even this FA period, you will see a lot of contracts that are backloaded. With Jimmy only cost 4m of dead cap - they can easily fit Brady in for the rest of his - I think it was 24m cap space (28.5 less the 4.5 cap hit) and have Brady with that team. And that teams window is pretty open for a year or two.
