The Jets O-line depth has been tested and one veteran who has stepped up quite well has been Dan Feeney. He did a nice job with his technique in one-on-ones against one of the Jets' strongest players in Folorunso Fatukasi. Feeney is expected to start at LG against the Giants.

"Mehki has struggled a lot throughout camp, partly due to Carl Lawson as well as the lack of consistency at left guard. I wouldn’t be overly concerned about Becton, especially with the performance of Dan Feeney next to him, which is leading to a bunch of the sacks, but I do think it’s fair to say Becton is going to need to take his play to next level before the real games start." - Will Parkinson, jets podcaster

Feeney will start at left guard against the Giants because Vera-Tucker is out....not because he has suddenly grabbed the starting position. His battle is for right guard...which he seems to be losing.

Justin Fields lived up to the hype in his first NFL game, giving the Chicago Bears franchise even move hope that their future is bright. Fields was very impressive in his debut, throwing for a touchdown and rushing for a touchdown in his two quarters of action.

Fields electrified the crowd at Soldier Field with an 8-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, as the first-round pick waited for the pocket to collapse before finally taking off and using his speed to find the left corner of the end zone for Chicago's first touchdown of the afternoon. He finished with five carries for 33 yards and the touchdown.

Discussed in another thread but Sewell's footwork looks super awkward from the right set. Didn't look at all like his Oregon film.

This is the risk with shorter arm tackles though, Rousseau got hand position and was able to stop Sewell from getting leverage. Then Sewell stopped his feet. Slater has really good hands so hopefully his strike can consistently ein at this level.

Also, QB could have stepped uo and avoided sack in RG didn't whiff. DT was coming up the middle free.
