You’re right there is no way. My point is just because he got 4.5 avg with the Saints doesn’t mean he is better than what we have. PFF ranked Saints’ OL at #8 which is waaaay better than ours. Ours was #32

It’s just a suggestion. Not pushing any agenda but giving Herbert plus protection. If Murray is willing to sacrifice his body to save Herbert from some kind of devastating injury then pay him accordingly.

Next year has a good FA RB class and there's always RBs available rd2 or rd3. I'm good with a 1 year rental if it makes us better this year.

I’ve already earmarked a RB for Bolts in next years draft. Like you said, one year rental.

As I posted in the other thread when this was brought up.
He is a 31 yo RB with moderate career production in his multi-team career. He ran behind the NO OL so he should have stellar stats.
              What advantages does he offer?
              — elite ST ace? No, he doesn’t play ST.
              — team leader? No.
              — game breaker in either phase? No.
My first reaction was exactly this, 100%. 31 yo RBs are not worth much, esp. with no ST. That's well past expected EOL for NFL back.

The *only* things that make question my initial conclusion:
-he's a good deal bigger and would bring something different to the RB room for Chargers
-he was productive in '20 (though mostly in a knows-the-job & fall-forward kind of way)
              -good hands, good blocker

It is clear that the Chargers injury curse has moved over to Baltimore.

Boy, has it ever. Dobbins now Edwards and Peters all gone for the year before the first game? That is Chargeresque for sure. THey have a great coach, though, and will overcome better than our team has done in the past

Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

As long as it goes elsewhere.
