When you consider the way LBs have been devalued in the NFL, yeah, the movie hasn’t aged well, the whole costner/garner thing was stupid and inappropriate and shouldn’t have even been in the movie, but that trade that he pulled at the end was 100% total fucking bullshit in terms of value chart, LOL

Eagles giving Lane Johnson a 1 year 33.45.mil extension. Wondering what their cap is and what that does to it . Just seems they are up there in cap space.

we need a part 2 where Costner is unemployed, divorced and flipping burgers.
        I'd watch.

LOLOL...oh man, 21, yer crackin' me up...okay, let's have a flick that's something like DRAFT DAY meets THE BODYGUARD...Costner the GM signs so many high-priced FA's that he gets the team into cap hell and gets fired...NOW he's unemployed, divorced, flipping burgers AND a drunk...the Chadwick Boseman character is up for a new contract...he signs with another team for megabucks, but grateful to Costner for drafting him, insists that Costner be hired as his own personal bodyguard...he later becomes a scout for the team...Costner works his way from scout to GM, learns his lesson about cap hell, and by trading down for extra picks who become cheap starters, and signing cheap FA's, builds and guides the team to a SB win...call it SUPER BOWL DAY...
(And of course, a holographic Whitney Houston sings "I Will Always Love You" at the SB halftime show...)

            haha genius.
I think you missed your calling as a movie producer.
Don't forget, in almost every Kevin Costner movie, there's a woman that wants his, "seed".

Right...there could be a sideplot...Costner meets the love of his life at the burger joint...they're both drunks and go to rehab together...there's the inevitable relapses and make-ups...then at halftime of the SB, after the holographic Whitney Houston sings "I Will Always Love You," Costner at mid-field gets down on his knee and asks Burger Girl (now working concessions slinging peanuts in the stands) to marry him...
(Actually, I have worked in video production, done scriptwriting and TV production on and off for years...)

How about we Hollywood the shit outta your plot? It would be more in line with what they did in the movie…so in part 2 garner’s character cheats on costner with the linebacker he traded all those picks for in the draft…then he get’s fired, then garner divorces him and then garner becomes the new GM of the team, we next see costner’s character hitting on college girls while flipping burgers at five guys…
