He's in such a good position to be a coach. Did you see his mic'd up piece? It shows you how much confidence and how effing smart PR is. Rivers is perfectly diagnosing defenses. I am more impressed by PR this year than any year previously.

Same with the player/coach on defense Weddle. He seems to always been in position. McCoy is in a good situation.

Perhaps, but I think the point stands that, aside from fans in Florida and Denver and a certain coach trying to save his job, nobody had any expectations of Tebow as a QB. Yes, he is a bust because of where he was drafted, but I would argue he's not a *huge* bust because most people felt he shouldn't have been drafted anywhere near that early.

Look, the point is McCoy fashioned an effective offense with almost zero material to work with. Twice (Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow).

If anyone can coax this team to win the Lombardi trophy, he is it.

It's already been highlighted on the Board that I can be very anal. I saw the statement that Tebow is the biggest bust since Leaf and pounced on it, because I believe it to be patently false. I am not a Tebow fan, I think he's an idiot for insisting he's a QB when he could have had moderate success at another position. But by definition he cannot be a huge bust because the expectations were never that high, only the potential. Russell is the obvious example of biggest bust since Leaf, and if I think about it hard enough I'm sure I could find others.

But none of that is to take away from Mike McCoy's awesomeness.
