This is the first off season in which Telesco has had much money to spend, too. Not having a Qb who makes 20-25M a year means you can do a lot of other stuff. The upside of the downside of losing our beloved Rivers.

RapSheet or Trotter had tweets: Ian said the Chargers will roll with Tyrod and do not plan on signing a veteran QB (so that means Cam is out) and Trotter said the Chargers may draft a QB but not necessarily.
I take Trotter - if the Chargers are telling him the truth - that Isiah Simmons is on the board at 6 more than Justin Herbert Or maybe Brown or an OT. And I am good with Simmons added to this defense.
I was pushing for Pierce too but maybe Joseph (and lets hope this was the reasoning) fits the style of defense for the position better than Pierce.
I just really like that Telesco seems to be making sensible moves - good contracts. At positions that have sorely been lacking. We have all seen it for years. Rivers deserved better
We need someone who knows what the hell they are doing !!
Hopefully more trench bolstering moves. Stay tuned. Why they didnt sign these types of players last year boggles my mind
Agree. Every year they seem to do the bare minimum. Worked ok in 2018 but not last year w a few injuries.
These were 2 good moves. We still need a few players - QB, LT, RB, LB. Looks like they moved on from Cam which is probably wise and will get the QB in the draft. Hoping for Trent Williams at LT. Add a LB or RB and get the other in the draft.
random Viking fans opining on the Charger's signing Linvale Joseph:
Good for him.
I wasn’t expecting someone to pay him that much. If he gets fully healthy it could turn into a bargain though. Thanks Linval....
He was fun to watch and he stablized our D nicely. Not a terrible price for him
One of our best free agent acquisitions ever
Thoroughly enjoyed him and he represented our team well. Wish him nothing but the best, a class act Foolishly hoped we could get Linval back for less money
finding a capable replacement for him is priority #1 for the Vikings’ off-season $17 million for 2 seasons?
given today’s free agent signing costs, that is a bargain
