Jones outplayed Stick in the preseason games by a far amount. Clearly the coaching staff feels that Stick has much higher upside than Jones though, which is why the decision was made to keep him.

I agrez surprisingly Cardale for the first time didn't look like crap and he did outplay Stick. Agree the staff sees more upside with him.

tier 2 - LG, DT (depends on Lamp and Tillery)

Our roster honestly doesn’t have plenty of weaknesses. Except the problem is, we aren’t great at anything. We are roughly average/ above average at everything. No elite defense, no elite coaching, no elite passing game, no elite run game.
        QB1 * Cam
        LT * Peters/Thomas
        RB1 * Hyde/Swift
        WR3 * Aiyuk
        LB * Evans

if you're worried 'bout LG, draft Wirfs instead of Thomas.

and re: Tillery.... can still fall back on JJ/Cortez there.

I didn't expect to go 5-11 last year and we had some very definite setbacks that took the wind out of us.
the thing is, as a GM you have to plan/prepare for "setbacks." will admit that last year, did suspect that the both of Scott and Feeney could well be adequate stop gaps if the either of Pouncey or Okung went down, and.... they weren't, and.... given both vets injury history, they were injury concerns going forward, and we were unfortunately not sufficiently prepared for their losses.

and ditto for this year.... is Bulaga much if any diff than Okung @this time last year.... by my take Bryan is likely to play @least one good year, but then come year two or three, will not be surprised to see him miss a slew of games, as has been his track record over his career.... he's due.

same for Denzel... we didn't sign Bostic, and upon closer inspection don't think Vigil spells Perryman very well, and ditto for Drue for that matter.... what you gonna do/who yah gonna call y'all ??

who spells Linval, Derwin, Keenan, Ekeler/JJ, or even Hunter, etc. ??

the more I look over the current landscape of things, how do you justify paying out big contracts like Keenan (Larry Fitzgeraldesque) or Bosa (JJ Wattageness) ??

as a GM nowadays, think you're hard pressed to hold onto your big name talent, as seems much better to be able to fill out your roster ??

let go of your big names instead of overpaying market value, and learn how to stockpile draft picks.... part of the learning curve for team TommyJohn.

I almost puked when I saw this latest mock. Somebody has us trading up to 23 with patriots for Love and giving up our second this year and second next year. I'd rather have Hurts or Eason at #37.

Saw that, it's Chad Reuters. Terrible mock for us. And he screwed it up. He, said we give our second this year and next but in that mock he has the Pat's getting our third as well. Terrible.

Might as well use some of that draft amo for the #2 or #3 pick by moving up from #6. I just can't see the value there.

Does Winston sign a 1 year, make good deal? To reset his value?
Is AL interested in a former number 1 pick who's just had LASEX?
I've never seen him play: is he good when he's good? Or worse when he's bad?
                  Is he better than Tyrod?

AL isn't interested in a turnover machine. In 5 seasons he has 88 INTs and 50 fumbles

That first stat I thought Lasik might have helped (as he never threw INT's in college, one of the best ever) but 50 FUMBLES? Is that true?! Wow, that means he holds the ball way too long and if the QB Whisperer Ariens couldn't help him no wonder TB moved onto TB.

You chart has NO catagories so hard to tell what is what, but i do know the fumbles are on the bottom chart on the left having seen the numbers earlier. I bolded and changed the color of those.
