OT: How Are You Doing With The Shut Down?

Been playing a bit of Katan. Some puzzles, some scrabble, some Netflix, some movies, some books, some bike rides, lots of walks and working!!

We've been playing the online version of Splendor with friends on Steam. I suck at Catan. Have never won.

We (woman & I) play cards, Yahtzee, Risk, dominos, and Master Piece (original 70’s edition).
She also likes to color and I do my prospect evaluation system.

Used to love Risk as a kid but haven't played it for 25+ years. And the last time I did, you had to take a shot any time you lost a battle. It was brutal.

My brother in law has The Lord of the Rings version of Risk. That at least ends when the ring gets to Mordor.

Strange what memories stay vivid while the vast majority of mine are fading.

My wife and I played scrabble and cribbage. We like to have mini Bible studies together. Mostly we watch TV or You tube and get bored. We don't have family near us anymore. Our "kids" live in HA,PA and CA. (Take that as a lesson, put you wife above the children because those brats will get married and move far away.)
I confess that I've been having some cabin fever but I sure recognize the need to stay home. Who could have guessed it would be like this. We weren't this restricted during WW2. I'm thinking we should bomb China! j/k

Praying you for dude and hoping this whole virus is over for you soon. And not just because you provide some great OL analysis, or that I enjoy debating with you about the importance of OL (you're always right btw even if I don't want to admit it). And I'm glad that you have your wife to help because I honestly don't know how we could keep someone like you isolated during this whole thing.

Right now, I'm able to work from home. I teach elementary aged children and can provide instruction on-line (via Google Classroom). Even when teaching within the traditional setting, it's a constant battle with germs (cleaning surfaces and washing hands). With novel corona virus, who knows what new challenges that will involve. Luckily, my district will most likely finish the year out with distance learning. But who knows what the 2020-2021 school year will look like...

BTW... if you guys like/hate Risk... my buddies and I used to play "Axis and Allies" (Risk on steroids) back in the day (pre-marriage and kids).
