In what was essentially less starts than 2 full NFL seasons. I wouldn’t pick him in top 10, not because he isn’t good. He is a high risk

many qbs want to play for winners, Tua won the position.
tua won over Saban to shift the offensive philosophy towards a pass centered attack vs his trusted D and run game.
in contrast, Herbert chose Oregon, presumably, partly because it was home. That’s nice and admirable, but is that a decision a winner leans towards?
      maybe, maybe not.
Tua is a winner who is attracted to and attractive TO winners.
      I’ll take my chances.
You can argue that all day, but he won't win if he can't stay on the field. Hurricanes QB Ken Dorsey never lost a college game. He didn't fair to well in the NFL. But talent isn't Tua's problem. Getting broken is.

Just baffles me how posters want to get rid of or not resign those that were hurt often and call them busts but are OK drafting a known China doll from college #6 at the most important position.

Herbert...why? he'll be available and he's trainable. Smart Kid and probably has more fire in him than most people think. Tua could be the best #2 backup QB in the NFL...no need to play him 16 games just pay him $8 mill a year as a reserve parachute for when your team makes the playoffs and you won't skip a beat. LOL!

Strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Herbert has accuracy issues that will persist in the NFL. Herbert's laid back personality is not ideal for the position.
Herbert fits what lynn wants and is healthy. If Carson Wentz is a model, that health might not last.
Still, Wentz is the safer choice. If your goal is just get to the playoffs, Wentz is your guy.

He will probably never be placed in the elite group of qbs, nor the secondary group.

An uninspiring choice. It would tell you Telesco is just interested in survival.

So we tank 2020 because you don't like any QB in this draft? Awful idea.

Beachcomber is lead conductor on the Cam Newton express.
He was working out in Los Angeles recently: Cam Newton, not beachcomber (a NoCal guy)
