I would say that was Barr. I felt Mack was probably the most NFL ready 34 OLB available in the draft. I never considered him a project. Most college players come in as projects though. I just thought Mack was further along than most.

Barr has played pretty well for the Vikings, at least Viking fans are pretty happy with him so far.

Mack is #1 on PFF's rookie of the year list. It's still early though.

Odd. I can think of a number of rookies that are playing better than he is.

Still when you consider the value of Oliver and the price the Raiders pissed away on him, I still think Oliver i the better deal.

Now it will be interesting to see how effective he will be when they bring in a new HC. Will they stick with the plan to get the most out of Mack, or find a better one? Or will they change gears and see it he turn into an all around LB, while he could be a impact 34 OLB or 43 Sam if used correctly?

I know it's only his 1st real start, But you can see his maturity & freak-like Skills. He's even driving backwards and gaining yards

Anyone notice that play towards the end, when BO just shoved a Raider off of him while fighting for a few extra yards. I think it was 2 plays prior to his TD dive. Pretty sweet!
