Mentions Joshua Palmer as someone who has made strides. Maybe Palmer will come back on a second contract.

Nice interview. And around the 8:30 mark, Herbert was asked about his rib injury and he confirmed it altered his mechanics and he couldn't throw the ball over the top.
So the posters criticizing him for the batted balls and him throwing sidearm can rest easy as it was not because of him, but the injury.
Said it was real painful for 9 weeks and then it started getting a little better but bothered him all season. Didn't talk about the torn labrum.

                But Staley is sitting.

This checks out with what the veteran QB talking heads said last year after he first sustained the injury. Most of them had dealt with this issue or something similar. I remember Troy Aikman in particular stating that it would bother him all season, and it clearly did.

shhhhh...keep it on the downlow. although I'm sure the Mrs would agree that Kay sure is nice on the eyes.

In any case I read some quick blurb on my phone that an anonymous NFL exec called staley a bad coach with a really good team. after how last season ended...hmmm...that sour taste hasnt left my mouth yet.

Everyone paying attention saw the change in motion, how he was affected and indirectly, how Lombo dialed things down to protect Herbert. That is why I find it kind of annoying when people talk about Herbert regressing last year. I guess those same people will now be shocked at how good he will be this year.

I don't know if posters were criticizing Herbert for the batted balls. It was just curious that the tallest starting QB in the league had a number of his passes batted down. Now we know why.

My second opportunity to drop the word pedantic today.

You were the one guy preaching to focus on the big, stop being distracted by the trivial, and yet here you are … tsk tsk, they all fall, don’t they.
