ESPN: The addition of Hill concludes a solid draft for the Chargers, who took Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert and Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray in the first round. Hill's 201 career receptions are a school record and he caught 10 TD passes last year. He is more of a possession receiver underneath than a burner who can take the top off a defense and projects more as a slot receiver at 6-foot, 192 pounds. -- Paul Gutierrez

Brugler had him ranked #97 overall. He does sound like Keenan.
97. K.J. Hill, WR, Ohio State (6-0, 196)
Hill is quicker-than-fast and thrives as an inside receiver using his athletic skillset to manipulate space and strong hands to make tough grabs. While a terrific possession target, he lacks the ideal speed to thrive as a vertical receiver and wasn’t a dynamic after-the-catch player in college (OSU’s all-time leader in catches, but only sixth in receiving yards). Overall, Hill possesses only average size, strength and long speed, but he has terrific ball skills and consistently makes himself available to his quarterback, projecting as a possession slot option in the NFL.

This is my favorite pick in the draft. Great value in a late round. Extremely productive. I love guys you cant cover more than guys with speed that cant separate. Day 1 starter at slot. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

KJ practiced every day against the best in college football, played against the best in college football and he thrived. Had some of the best coaching in college football. Pro ball should not intimidate him. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I'm not sure he will ever develop into a starter, but he certainly is a great fit as a slot WR.
One of the big knocks on Hebert is that he throws so few short passes. Here is a guy who is very good on the bubble screens, swing screens and short routes. And he is a much better route runner than most are giving him credit. There have been plenty of other 4.6 WR in football before. Just like Hill, they can make it if they run good routes, and Hill makes guys like silly with his route running. He does need some help from outside WR who will give him the room to make plays underneath.
He also returned punts his freshman season.
