No way in HELL he should have been allowed back in the game.
I wouldn't care much if he was just out playing clean but the fact I seen him when Ekeler was stood up along with Kelley lunging helmet down trying put a dirty hit on them. Dude is a dirty player who ever his is. Glad Herbert rang his clock for sure.

I would like to see Herbert know when to administer the pain and when to play it safe. I dont envision him being a QB that would slide though.

I have some worries about him running a professional passing game, but that kid is a gamer."...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

I am a numbers guy, and while "the eye test" is good, it's also good to have some objective numbers.
I like ESPN's Total Quarterback Rating, QBR.
In game one, Tyrod Taylor had a QBR of 25.6
in game two, Justin Herbert had a QBR of 77.8
And these are RAW numbers, as there have not been enough games to do the opponent difficulty adjustments, but I am confident, that after the adjustments, that 25.6 will go down, and the 77.8 will go up, as TT faced an weak defense, and JH faced a hard one.
P.S.
77.8 is insanely good for a rookies first game, with limited camp, no preseason games, no snaps with the 1st team that week.
