Yeah, that must have been a hell of a game by Ross. I didn't get a chance to see it, but the linescore is damned impressive. We've got a good pitching staff. If we could just get the offense to league average, I like our chances.

Street is what he is, but he's been successful for several years, so it's not a fluke. But yeah, he does give me the roller coaster willies when he closes one out.

Very impressed with the starting pitching even without JJ. And that bullpen! I really want to see Grandal in the lineup on a steady basis. Can he play 1B at all? And Quentin will hopefully come back early May. This team might be very good come mid-May when Q comes back and Grandal is getting more playing time. All we need is a little more offense and those guys can deliver.

Nice W for the Pads again today. Gets us back to .500. I'd love to see Erlin have a command performance tomorrow to get us a game over .500 before a rough 10-game road trip with no off days while traveling to Milwaukee, Washington, then all the way back across the nation to SF. Brutal. I just hope that they can come out of that stretch close to .500.

All closers are that way... There really should be a stat for a "scare" or "oh-shit"... I bet the number of scares is higher than most think.... I'd define a scare by getting the tying run on base...

And I wouldn't mind putting Headley on the DL to let him heal his biceps and knee. Maybe bring up Castellanos.

Blanks has always hit fairly well while down. Right now, I have no idea who we are offensively. Not sure if Blanks can help this team right now. We have far too many 2/7/8 type hitters on our team right now.
