TBF, can you tell me what happened with Quentin? I know the knee is the issue but all through Spring training Q was saying he's feeling better than he has in years. Literally. Is it just a structural thing for him where he's always going to be iffy - even if he says otherwise? I'm wondering if Byrnes shouldn't make a deal for a Quentin type hitter (power + OBP) who's healthy and can play LF. Do we want to keep waiting on a guy that has something chronic wrong with the knee?

Headley finally earning a little bit of that paycheck tonight. He tends to do better on the road as far as slugging pct., but that HR tonight--He got all of that. Street looked good too, against a tough row of hitters in the bottom of the inning. Can't win them all the way our guys hit, but they played typical Pads ball tonight: good pitching and D...Fighting for Carson...and Wilmington...ity:

Baseball (MLB) injuries tend to be bigger mysteries than NFL injuries. I have no idea what is going on w/CQ. He is a bigg'n and im sure that has something to do with it. Baseball isnt the physical sport that football is, but baseball players get zero breaks. 162 games is a long long season and its takes its toll on the body in a different way than other sports. Not sure if CQ is one of those Winter guys that have become fairly common in recent years.
Fantastic win tonight-We have some really really good arms on our team. Too bad we can't hit worth a shit!Last edited by TABF; 04-22-2014, 10:06 PM.

Q's problem this time is not structural and has nothing to do with his operations and recovery. He bruised his kneecap pretty badly when he dove for a ball in ST. Once the bone heals, he'll be fine. He's going to Arizona this week to start playing in extended spring training. Probably still 2-3 weeks away from coming back to the big club. He'll need to do some minor league rehab after Ariz.
