No trade ups, please. Murray is good, but was he worth an extra THIRD rounder we gave away for him to trade up? That third rounder could have been used on OT or edge rusher...

Yes....he was worth it...that will be apparent by seasons end, but already trending that way.

But if you want to argue the point, is there a third round OT or pass rusher that is a factor this year?

For that matter, is there a second round OT or pass rusher that was picked that is shining this year?

And where would we be in the LB corps without Murray? Pretty thin, and lacking in talent with Tranquil gone.

            Definitely worth it.

Easily worth it now. He will be way worth it by the end of the season and even more so next season.

I wouldn't give up an extra 1 for Sewell either.

I'd be happy with the production of another highly picked OT even if its only at 95% of Sewell's production.

Even though I'm a trencher, I don't want to employ the highest paid O lineman in the game. I'd rather spread that money over more higher performing guys. it's the weak links that kill you in this game.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Yep...agree 100%. Don't get me wrong, I DO prefer to draft an OT in round 1...hopefully someone is there who slots close to where we're picking...but I sure don't want to trade away a #1 or a #2 just to move up a few slots to pick an OT...we have too many holes to fill...we also badly need a DE and a DT...Hayward isn't a spring chicken any more, and King may be gone after this season, so need a CB and S...Murray and White are not so hot in coverage, so also need a coverage LB...

OTC updated their draft sim. Its pretty cool. You get random trade offers sometimes. Still drafting 13th based on rankings and not record.

If the Sewell hype is real, he’s easily worth trading a future first
were talking generational talent at our biggest need to protect our biggest ass

I agree about the weakest link philosophy to an extent. The extent being, it’s invaluable for a lefty qb to only have to worry about what’s in front of him 95% of the time.
would go a long way to helping our future LG (Lamp?)
suddely Pipkins is our swing, which is ideal imo

so ya, big cost, but that’s a year later and hopefully only the 32nd pick overall
