Last year, SF came close to doing what TB did tonight.

Their OL was meh--their inside Zone blocking concepts sublime.

I have selected OL in the draft and @ UFA to fit SF concepts, ostensibly the way we are gonna do it.

Road graders can move on down the highway.
We do not play modern football.

Agreed, the Chiefs O Line outlasted the tired SF pass rushers which allowed Mahomes to take over the last 8 minutes as well I think.
It also probably doesn't happen for the Chiefs if Shanahan does not abandon the run and Jimmy G does not fail.
And don't get me started on Kittle foolishy pushing off an costing them a touchdown early.

TB & KC both Had 1sr rd OTs .. until KC's LT went down in the playoffs. Might have had an impact.

That is a one off. He was UDFA and proved he could play football. And that was during AJ Smith time.

You okay going back to the Sioux Falls Cougars or the Texas State Bobcats to find a player in Rd 3 of the 2021 draft.

Critty, I'm with you that Sammie Small Schoolers can be a real crapshoot...usually best taken after round 3...don't want to see a Pip repeat...

Unless it Randy Moss or Kahlil Mack who is so good teams spend a 1st rd pick on them. Then you may want to be careful how often you grab players from those programs.
Telesco picked 3 of them in 2019. THREE! Wtf?!

Yep, Adderley / Delaware, Pip / Sioux Falls (enrollment under 2,000) and Stick / North Dakota St.

The Stick pick I don't mind as much...but the the other two...ugh...

There are also loads of players from top schools who flame out. You have to take every player on an individual basis. Now, over the years we have seen that some schools tend to pump out quality players at a certain. Position. In recent years, it feels like a lot of offensive linemen from ND have hit.

There is a downside to drafting players from the top schools, which is that they’re surrounded by other elite talent so it may make them look better than they are.

Is Terron Armstead, Arkansas–Pine Bluff similar to Pip? Sammy small school.

2 potentially generational talents, tied by friendship working directly together towards a common goal.
the only way it could be better is if Sewell played OC!

When it comes time to negotiate that second Herbert contract, good faith might be reciprocated. We already know Herbert is a loyal guy to his hometown of Oregon, I can see the same commitment to us, his first and last NFL team if we do things right.
Based on that, Deshaun Watson should be very impressed with the Texan's going out to get Laremy Tunsil... : )

Boy, I'd like a stellar LT. I wouldn't mortgage away our draft capital to do it. Due to the salary cap shrinking a bit, there may be a decent LT cut, or maybe Williams doesn't get a great offer from other teams. Hard to say.
