I didn't notice where they had Sweat as I'm haven't looked over their rankings very much yet. But im not a big fan of the big fatties either, you seem to like those types.

I know you are more a trenches guy, everybody should know that and it's not a bad thing at all but we also need some skill guys. CB, RB, TE, WR....wait is TE a skill guy? I'm calling it a skill guy.

Id bet the farm that Vato isnt coming back.

Not sure you have even noticed he has been benched the last 2 games and hasn't played not 1 snap,....and you want to throw 6 mil at him? And we don't utilize Everett enough to throw 6 mil at him. He has 29 receptions.

I'm not being a smartass when I ask, just curious is all......do you watch the Chargers games? You never seem to have any comments on the games or players during the season,.. so I'm just asking.
well, your FA CB is almost triple what Mike D. would run, and... there is a dearth of TEs in this year's draft.... ??

and yes, I watch/listen to some games, and.... like Everett's RAC, and think Vato is hellah bettah than he has shown this year.... Staley had him on the pine to start last season, and it was clear what an oversight that was, and this year is he ever putting Vato in a position to succeed.... what happened to the Mike D. that regularly put a hamper on Tyreke and several other No. 1 wideouts ?? ....wonder what Keenan thinks of Mike D. as a cover corner ??
ED Matayo Uiagalelei, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry
TE Jelani Woods, LB Isaiah Simmons, TE Cade Otton, RB Kyren Williams, P Matt Araiza

The fun mock of the day. Nothing wrong with this at all.

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
      Let’s win one for Mack.

Obviously if Johnson wants 17 per season, I'd look elsewhere. Just don't believe Sportrac is accurate. He is just one id target,....til the money eliminates him.
          But definitely targeting a OC.

They also have Everett at 8.6 mil per year and that's just insane to me.

We shoulda took a TE last draft but Telesco just doesn't have it as a GM.

There are a handful I like this year but for starters, it's limited. If we pick top 10 or under, I'm certainly targeting Bowers.
Would be real nice to get extra picks for Bosa and MW.

wondering who your prospects by position are.... ??

QB Joe Milton * he is getting panned hard, and.... like dude's intangibles
RB Raheim Sanders, Audric Estime, Daijun Edwards, Blake Watson, Keilan Robinson * one of the first two as a bruiser, and one of the two latter as our scatback/AE replacement
WR J Michael Sturdivant, Bru McCoy * just need a (big) body here, as personally would make DD WR3
TE * not feelin' anyone here, as would be looking in FA, and to prolly re sign Everett
OT * lotta names, and not feelin' anyone here neither, as would prolly move Salyer over into the mix @RT
OG * Cooper Beebe, Donovan Jackson * don't know if we have enough draft capital to make a run @one of these guys, but this is where I'd invest my day two assets if we snare some xtra pix
OC * Sedrick Van Pran * yeah, would be nice to add a Connor McGovern or trade for an Erik McCoy, and like Tuli.... sometimes you gotta take care of your biz

NT T'Vondre Sweat * we need to get a second for Mr. Bosa
DT JerZhan Newton * not in the Braden Fiske camp as think we got plenty of depth as things stand now.... we need a difference maker/disruptor (if and only if Latu is off the board)
DE JT Tuimoloau * not sure he's good enough value for us round one, and doubt he lasts 'til round two for us
ED Laiatu Latu, Jared Verse, Bralen Trice * again, not sure the latter two warrant our first round capital, and doubt they'll be there round two for us
LB Cedric Gray, Eric Gentry, Cody Simon * this is where our draft strategy goes astray as you can't leave Kendricks and Murray without a hedge, and Gray is that must get guy round three
CB Terrion Arnold * 'nother guy that don't think he rates as first round value, and prolly wouldn't be there round two for us.... not interested in others here, as lines still need work first
S am no fan of drafting for need, and like TE, RT, WR1, CB.... not gonna force the pick, and as think we've got enough for now going into next season

HC Jim Harbaugh * the first domino that needs to fall, and no.... he needs to keep his hands off of personnel
ED Matayo Uiagalelei, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry
TE Jelani Woods, LB Isaiah Simmons, TE Cade Otton, RB Kyren Williams, P Matt Araiza

ED Laiatu Latu * growing up, most every SB team had a fearsome/ferocious front four.... Khalil is 2024 and that may be it.... priority one here
DT Jer'Zhan Newton * Latu is my wish for us round one, and.... this guy would be (very) helpful up front
OC Sedrick Van Pran * close to a must get, given the seemingly imminent loss of Linsley
NT T'Vondre Sweat * my annual wish list guy @NT, which prolly requires trading Joey for the highest return possible
LB Cedric Gray * don't know 'bout you, and.... don't want to put all my eggs in the Daiyan Henley basket
OG Donovan Jackson * not against Cooper Beebe, just like this guy's intangibles a bit better
RB Raheim Sanders * this guy was a top two back before injury, and not sure he can't return to form and then some
RB Audric Estime * givin' the Golden Domers a bone, as this guy sure looks formidable when it comes to breaking tackles and wearing down a D
WR J Michael Sturdivant * am replacing the MW size here, but not w/an early pick
RB Daijun Edwards * not sure 'bout this guy, and.... something I (really) like 'bout him
LB Eric Gentry * this is my Brandon Siler round seven suggestion and think he fits well w/our LB corps
QB Joe Milton * a maligned prospect who am not taking off my board quite yet

personal opinion is if we continue to go CB/WR, we're gonna keep Chargering.... instead would volunteer we take our possible JB/MW added draft capital and reinforce the Lines @NT & the OG

ED Matayo Uiagalelei, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry

Any of my mocks start with trading Joey and MW. Knowing they are injury prone, I realize that 3rd rounder and 4th rounder are probably fair trade. Cap issues require that we extend KA and Mack out to 2026. Also, the OL is too important to me. Losing Linsley was catastrophic. He'll probably retire... and we'll have $9 million extra to spend on a QUALITY center. I prefer Connor Williams @$12 million.

1st round: CB McKinstry, OLB Latu, OLB Dallas Turner, CB Kalen King. When mock drafting, McKinstry is almost always gone. I've been taking Latu a lot. I'm not keen on taking IDL or TE in the 1st round. It's just my draft philosophy. I feel that rounds 3 and 4 have good IDL and TE's respectively. Maybe use those Bosa/MW trades to rebuild there...?

2nd round: CB Terrion Arnold, CB Josh Newton, CB Caelen Carson, CB Tyreek Chappel... Having missed out on CB McKinstry in the 1st round, I look for CB in the 2nd round. There are a number of good CB's here. I'm not done looking at them all. Lately, I've been mocking Caelen Carson. Some sites have him as a 3rd rounder... but I like his toughness, tackling, and the way he gets his head around to look for the ball. Isn't too grabby.

3rd round: IDL Kris Jenkins, IDL Tyler Davis, IDL T'Vondre Sweat, IDL Gabe Hall. If you're looking for IDL to push the pocket and provide pass rush... then Jenkins and Davis are your guys. If you're looking for DE push/pass rush... Hall is your guy. If you're looking for pure NT... Sweat. 3rd round for IDL is the draft's sweet spot without having to overspend draft capital... or leave yourself thin at a premium position (OLB/CB).

3rd round: This is where the Bosa/MW trade really helps! IMO, 3rd/4th rounds are loaded with good RB's and TE's. Even some your good LB's could fall to the 3rd or 4th rounds. WR's are pretty deep, too. With KA, Palmer, QJ, and DD (hopefully coaches start using him)... you could get a WR with speed to stretch a defense or a WR with good route running or decent 50/50 skills.

                    4th round: See 3rd round.

What if you could score IDK Kris Jenkins, TE Jaheim Bell, RB Devin Neal, and WR Roman Wilson with your 3rd/4th round picks...?

Terrion is up/down. Sometimes I really like what I see... other times, there are some issues that make me put him in the 3rd.
Van Pran is another guy that I just can't get a feel for. I don't see him get down field enough. In a telephone booth, he looks real good.
This center group looks a lot like last year's. Nobody special. No Creed Humphrey. No Frank Ragnow. Just guys that probably take a couple years to develop. I want a proven center that can command an OL. That's why I prefer getting a free agent center.

Getting quality guys in the 3rd-6th round is hard to do. I look for positions that tend to go later... so I can still get a quality player or quality backup. RB, TE, and LB definitely qualify for those parameters... especially when those positions are deep.

Beach...as I still think we pick mid to late when the dust settles, Turner and Latu long gone...and Verse absolutely worth the capitol...though I think Newton is a wildcard, and could go anywhere from 8 to the twenties...I would take him over Verse...

Also...why no OTs? JC Latham is NOT the next Fluker...he is perfect for us...Pipkens may be relegated to expensive backup...but our starting RT would be dirt cheap rookie, so we could afford it!

I do like Van Pran...we can work on his next level blocking, but most critical is his ability to occupy that middle in pass pro, for starters, and help give this group some more ooomph on short yardage plays...he has those qualities out the box.
                          Lone Bolt's Final Mock

Tyler Booker G, Josaiah Stewart Edge, Cam Skattebo RB, Mitchell Evans TE, Jamaree Caldwell NT, Isaac TeSlaa WR, Ahmed Hassanein DE, Craig Woodson S, Eli Cox C, Kalel Mullings RB

Sleeper day 3 pick: Tahj Brooks RB Texas Tech
