I don't see us getting another win so we could end up drafting #5. That could be high enough to land Bowers.

I think about Fouts/Winslow and Rivers/Gates and it make me think a TE could prosper in our offense. I think Bowers will be better than any of last years TEs.

      There is a log jam at 5 - 8 (6 teams).
Chargers are at the bottom of it.

A loss vs. Las Vegas would be huge towards getting a top 5 pick.

No doubt, better than last years group by quite a bit.

Does he create space and pluck the ball out of the air? That's what I immediately recognized about Gates in 2003.
Kelce too can create space ..... the best one's can.

Drafting a tight end at the top half of the 1rst hasn't been kind to a few teams.

Ok draftniks, I don’t follow the NCAA that much so give me some opinions. With the Harbaugh situation at Michigan and a Championship in front of them, how many players leave the program this year.

I say at least 10 get drafted

As it stands right now this is who I think is left on the board when we select....

Chicago needs WR & LT, and.... won't be surprised if they trade one of their picks to Vegas
can't see NE doing anything but Drake Maye
Az needs WR, and if Marvin is gone then could see them trading down w/the Raiders, and selecting Odunze
            the Commas need an LT
Raiders have to trade up for Caleb Williams

Bowers, Jer'Zhan, Latu.... I think those are the three that it will come down to for us.... got a few months still to put my finger on it, and.... sumthin' 'bout Brock that makes me uneasy.

think Newton would be a hellah good get, 'specially if we could pair him w/T'Vondre Sweat round two, and.... still leaning Laiatu @present.
ED Matayo Uiagalelei, DT Dontay Corleone, OC Iapani Laloulu, CB Domani Jackson, OG Earnest Greene III, WR J Michael Sturdivant, LB Eric Gentry
TE Jelani Woods, LB Isaiah Simmons, TE Cade Otton, RB Kyren Williams, P Matt Araiza

I think we can land a second with most of next years salary paid off by the Chargers. He probably needs a change of scenery to have any career going forward without the injury history.

Three good choices i agree. Its just for me, im going Bowers. But either one is fine with me but i will complain some for a while that we missed out on the best TE in this draft in a weak TE class...unless we get Sanders but he isnt Bowers. He would be a good counter imo.
                1. Mason Taylor TE LSU

Looks like they will pick top 7 now.
Could get as high as 5 if they lose out.
5th is a big deal because someone will trade up for one of the three QBs or Fashanu. Think Harrison is a lock to go top 3. Sure hope he comes out if they get up to 5.

cliches litter the pages when reading about Bowers, and 'tis easy to be a believer given his hype, and.... not so sure 'bout the guy, 'specially as a top five or six pick ??

he's a downfield threat and has the hands to handle the Rocket launches, has straight line speed and hops to go up and get it, has the hoped for big game mentality (had ten catches against Alabama.... as a freshman) and proper mindset, he produces explosive plays, has the production numbers, and the belief is that the Chargers would be a good schematic fit for him.

the cautionary tales are more murmur than anyone shaking a stick at him, and still.... there are some questions/concerns.

his smaller frame could leave him susceptible to injury, and w/the question: can he stay healthy ?? is he more of a flex TE, and.... like Kincaid, he is a better blocker in space, and can prolly (man)handle LBs as a pass catcher, but there is the sentiment that some NFL safeties might derail his game some, and that he is perhaps not as transcendent as some make him out to be ?? there is also the question as to has he tapped out already, and as his college stats are treading water.

personal suspicion is that he could well be a make up pick as our FO brass missed out on Kincaid, and harbor the notion that Bowers can pick up where Gates 'n Winslow left off.... also see him more as an Aaron Rodgers guy and not so much a JH10 guy, as not as sold on his intangibles as was w/Kincaid, and don't think he's as Herbert compatible as compared to Kincaid.... dude could well be a bit/tad overhyped, and more of a top twenty talent and not so much a top ten, let alone top five.....

@the end of the game, sometimes we absolutely need that critical reception to sustain the drive and get into the end zone, and.... sometimes it's the opposite.... we just have to get heat on the opposing QB and get him off his spot.... my thought is that we got to the SB w/our D and w/Stan Humphries and Co. on O.... am an intangibles guy, and just not overly sold/taken by Bowers, and really like Latu's intangibles, and really think we need to hedge our bets w/Khalil's health, and not let up just because we got one guy for our Line (Tuli) and call it a day.... personally want to build on our Dline (back 2 back picks pls to start off the draft) and really ensure we finish the job on D, as just don't see the top tier talent @our positons of need on O.... OC, RT, TE and maybe WR.

if I'm the GM, I like what Latu brings to the table and due to his production.... see him as a safer/wiser gambit ??

                      1. MHjr...I may like Bowers better, personally...but this kid is looking like the next Jamarr Chase...with an arm like Herberts, cant have too much invested in WR.

                      2. Bowers...my fav...the next great QB/TE connection.

3 and 4. Fashanu and Alt...we can never again shirk on the oline, and the quality to be had here is too great to ignore, period. A responsible fan would put them 1 and 2...but I really want to add a star offensive playmaker, given the chance.

                      5. Latu...him and Tuli could be an incredibly dynamic duo, that can help carry a defense enough, even in rougher times.

Add the 3 QBs, and thats 8 picks. I dont see us picking outside of that. Making a first round Big board is gonna be real easy this year, lol...if Jayden Daniels doesnt get picked...Turner? Koolaid? Need more study before I can decide that...

Beach...on Newton...I like him a lot...not sure his ability plus positional value equals top 8, or trumps the others I mentioned...if Stick screws around and wins a couple of games, and we are picking 10th, we'll talk...

Tyler Booker G, Josaiah Stewart Edge, Cam Skattebo RB, Mitchell Evans TE, Jamaree Caldwell NT, Isaac TeSlaa WR, Ahmed Hassanein DE, Craig Woodson S, Eli Cox C, Kalel Mullings RB

Sleeper day 3 pick: Tahj Brooks RB Texas Tech

If we are drafting 6th I would be moving up for Harrison at #3 if he's still on the board. Chicago just may take him with the #1 pick.

I can’t imagine any team offering a pick in the first 3 rounds for Bosa. His contract is an albatross and he is always hurt.

                          But we can dream.
