If we have #6, do they trade down with someone that needs that 3rd QB desperately and if so, how far and for what price? their #1, #2, and 2025 #1 or even more? Odds are that team that is desperate for a QB is between 7 and 12 or so? or does LAC take one of the true blue chips at #6 - I expect Alt, Bowers or both are on the board at 6 and either of them are cornerstones to build an elite and lasting offense. If it were TT, we know he'd just take someone there. IF it were BB, we (almost) know he'd trade down.

One of our problems, imo, we just don't know exactly how BAD our DBs really are - Staley got them all so fucked up and confused with his requirement to make instant adjustments, shifts and switches, who knows if they can learn to be pro DBs with proper coaching and a scheme they can understand? Regardless we need at least one lockdown CB and I don't go to 2024 without adding at least 1 starter caliber CB. Vato is gone, has been repeatedly benched, I don't re-sign him.

If we use #6 on Mr Blue, what does the top of Rd 2 look like for CBs. these 2 are likely both gone. My recollection is recent years had had runs on CBs and they have gone earlier than projected - not sure on that at all though?
What I took from that scouting report about Alabama's cornerbacks was Kool-Aid may be a bit overrated by some. Now, I don't know that, since I am not a scout or general manager. I know there are some on here who love him. But it does concern me that rival coaches in the SEC rank his teammate as the better cornerback.

All things being equal among the "values" with the prospects when we pick, I prefer a pass-rusher to build with Tuli for the future beyond Bosa and Mack. If Bowers is the next Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, or Rob Gronkowksi, and the pass-rushers in this draft are no better than Melvin Ingram, by all means take Bowers. In my unprofessional opinion, however, I think Dallas Turner, Latu, and Jared Verse have immense potential, and I'm not so sure Brock Bowers will be anything more than Jeremy Shockey--which isn't the worst thing in the world, but it's not worth a top ten pick. I also love what I'm reading about the top offensive tackles in this draft, so I will be more than happy to have one of them. Basically, I prefer building up the offensive and defensive lines over taking another weapon to throw to. With a good-to-great offensive line and coaching staff, I think Herbert is more than capable of elevating the pass-catchers around him.

I'm all in Harrison Jr if he is there.
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

Not a matter of seeing him first. Just someone i wanted early. I dont rave about Freshman often and didnt think we could get as didnt think we would suck lol. IDK, you can just see he has IT...then you hear about his work ethic and wanting to be great.
Now we can get him without trading picks. I think he is a no brainer and a big need and certainly one of the BPA . You dont bypass that just to get an extra 3rd. I think we will get those from trading Bosa and MW.

Will Clapp is not good, Brendan Jaimes is not NFL quality and Pipkins needs upgrading. How many picks can we spend on the OL this year? Sad. TT just could never get the OL right.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
                    Let’s win one for Mack.

So Caleb is sitting out - I’d heard the discussion, i just didn’t recall it was for certain. I don’t blame him - he’s got a $40M rookie contract waiting to be signed as long as he’s not permanently injured before April. Friendship and loyalty good, I’m loyal by default myself, but not at a price of $40M - any real friend will 100% understand he needs to sit.

What was the breakdown of Jaimes game vs Buff? I didn’t catch his grading for the game. He didnt seem any worse than Clapp has been, but one game and one team doesn’t really allow a full evaluation

I think Bowers ceiling is higher than Turner's and Latu's.
