If Penix has a great game tomorrow, I could easily see him as the 4th qb going in the top 4. Just a great, accurate arm.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    Let’s win one for Mack.

At 5 they can trade back a few spots, get an extra 2nd or 3rd and still possibly get Nabers. Or trade back to 9 and still get Kool-Aid.
If Harbaugh is hired, he likes tough players and I can see him wanting to resign Gerald Everett. Everett seems like a Harbaugh type player. They should be able to sign him to a deal similar to the last. If they could resign Everett, sign Harrison Bryant and draft Cade Stover, I would say that is a damn good start to a new TE room. They will make plenty of cap room to do this on top of other signings.

no, it's time to move on from Everett...the Te room needs to be blown up and rebuilt from scratch...

Where’s the playmaking coming from next year. Ekeler gone, MWill probably gone, Keenan is old, TEs are meh.

That’s got to move to the top of the draft list. We need at least two playmakers in the draft, guys that can contribute early.

Someone here made a good point. Do you use the 5th overall pick and pay that salary slot ona RIGHT tackle? You do if you need a left tackle but we have one.

Given that Williams is gone, Keenan is aging and QJ is iffy at best, you still need to give your franchise QB some explosive playmakers. Why I lean Bowers then Nabors.

Well said. Even if the curent group were all staying, which they are not... watching our cannon armed QB run an easy to defend dink and dunk offense it was painfuly obvious Herbert needs some explosive playmakers to unleash his considerable talent.

                    Bowers or Nabors for me

If we lose both MW and Keenan, then WR is an obvious top option at 5. If Keenan stays then for me, TE is the best option at 5, get another WR later.

Everything else OL, Edge, CB we can move back a little, get pick(s) and draft one of those.

                      1. Mason Taylor TE LSU
                      2. Quinshon Judkins RB Ohio st
                      3. Kyle Kennard Edge So. Carolina

                      4. CJ West DT Indiana
                      5. Don'te Thornton WR Tennessee
                      6. Zah Frazier CB UTSA
                      6. Jarquez Hunter RB Auburn
                      6. Jay Higgins LB Iowa
                      6. Hunter Wohler S Wisconsin

There is some great depth at WR in this draft. I would go Bowers at 5. I think after Marvin Harrison he is the best overall prospect in this draft.

He passes off and switches very well in zone and offers man skills that most CB's can't match. IMO, Patrick Surtain is a good comp.

You've obviously done your research and spent the time watching film of Kool-Aid to come to your conclusions, which is commendable--and enjoyable to read. I definitely prefer that over those who already claim he's a reach for where we pick simply because they read on some mock draft that he should be taken somewhere between 10 and 20. I'm sure there were plenty who said the same about fellow Bama corner Marlon Humphrey, when he went 16th overall in his draft. Humphrey's been a top 10 corner for the majority of his career, but the mock draft experts surely would have criticized a team if it selected him fifth overall.
