You have read in here plenty as I have to know we don't. Only if we lose both MW and Keenan do we have a bigger need at WR but sounds like we are keeping Keenan.
Seems everyone is disregarding QJ this season. He is going to be a factor.

Another question...say we do move down to #11, and let's say the following players are all off the board:

Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, MHJr, Nabers, Jaylen Daniels, Alt, Fashanu, Odunze, Bowers, and Dallas Turner

      Who would you draft?
      Fuaga, Mitchell, Arnold

For our system, I suspect Joe Alt would enable the coaching staff to do exactly what they claim they want to do... protect the franchise QB and run the ball. He's a complete OT. I'm not going to predict that he's a future HOF or "generational" But his impact would be un-matched by any other prospect at any other position. @the #5 position, the 5th-year option salary is set (regardless of position). So I also consider the return-on-investment when choosing #5. Compare the TE v OT salaries. Because NFL GM's do compare players/positions in that particular scenario.

I also consider the fact that I could cut Pipkins in 2025 and save $6.75m in cap space.
I can live with a TE in the 4th or 5th round. Especially if your team is changing philosophies... and already has a #1 WR.
Did anyone realize that Dallin Holker had more receptions, more yards, and more TD's than Bowers last year...?
If the new regime wants to beef up the line and go RT I can live with it. I would just rather trade down with so many good tackles in this draft. Do we really know that someone like Guyton with his athleticism isnt better than Alt in the NFL doiwn the road? Very good chance Fashanu outshines Alt at the combine.

Just dont love Alt in the top 5. Good tackle prospect but this isnt Sewell.

I would rather trade back as well. The extra picks would serve us well as the roster has a lot of holes. I suspect the defense will be re-tooled with DT's, LB's and Edge players.

But if we're staying at #5, I'd rather have Alt than the WR's or TE. I understand it's hard to compare WR's, TE's and OT's. I don't think Alt is Sewell either. But I think he's the best all-around OT in the draft. Good feet, good balance, long arms, and powerful... he can move his man and climb to the 2nd level nicely/consistently. Fashanu might be a better pass blocker (by a little bit) but is not the run blocker that Alt is. Fuaga might be the better run blocker... but he's not as good as Alt as a pass blocker.

I have no issues with having 2 excellent OT's on the same field. The one thing people are forgetting... Slater will want to back the Brinks Truck up to the loading dock in a couple of years. I hope to keep both... but I bet Hortiz would rather not get robbed. I bet he'd take the 3rd round comp pick should negotiations go sideways. In the meantime, protect Herbie and run the ball. Alt does that in spades.
          Protect the QB
          Run the ball
          Play great defense

Rumor going around that Malik Nabers may not participate at the NFL Combine next week in order to not risk any injuries! Weak!

Probably because dude doesn't want to clocked in the 4.4's!

Man don’t come here with that cause I posted on here about Dalin Hooker. You can see that’s my boy from Colorado state.

Holker isn't a blocker. If Bowers were in the WAC or Sunbelt....whatever Holker is in, he would have blown up college football.
Holker isn't going to be near as good as Bowers. May not be much period.

Not that I hold Zeirlien as gospal but here are his TE rankings...and I like Sinnott and I like Wiley as a late rounder.

There should be offers to trade down. So many needs, 3 year plan. Play into strengths of 2024 draft. WR, CB, OT, three top flight (1st rd quality) Centers. DT/TE later!

I wonder if in the future the combine might just be a series of medical tests, measurements, and interviews with the players...The Rams who are one of the best drafting teams in the NFL are just using computer data collected from game tape to determine game speed, quickness, and agility to determine if guys can play at the next level...they don't even attend the combine anymore
