    Enlightening interview.

It sounds like some players will be deemed not a good fit for the Harbaugh culture.
    We play modern Harball.

The best players they faced on the line were probably Dallas Turner, Chop Robinson, and JT Tuimoloau.
Michigan has no OTs in this draft that im aware of. OGs and the OC. Three GS as one replaced Zinter when he went out and Zeirlien gave him a pretty decent grade with limited snaps.

So apparently ahem, "like a bad Nabers, Malik is NOT there..."

I can see that Brealion Allen has decent speed for his size and is big but maybe for them he is a tweener and want to see his agiltiy. But sure i want to see him run. Want to see Kool Aid run. I dont care if Nabahs runs or does drills or if a QB dont throw like Caleb is said to not be doing.

And a dumb 40 can elevate some guys. Thats how dumb some scouts and owners are lol. I think some scouts really arent very good and got a he is "my buddy" job on some teams.
The combine will help or hurt the draft stock of some of the Sammy Small Schoolers...but for players at major colleges, we already know what they can do...

true..... Piolli also emphasized that players like Harrison and Bowers are elite playmakers and players that cause huge matchup issues for defenses..... and every team is looking for those....

if either of those players are there at 5 we should take them..... if its possible to trade down a few spots and get bowers, we should do it, but that could be risky unless we absolutely know who other teams are taking between those spots.... BOTH generational players would give Herbert a consistent dependable playmaker for the next decade or more.....harrison is great enough someone might trade up for him..... hope not the chiefs!

This draft is deep at OT.....and WR..... some OL experts have saiid iit may not be a great idea to draft a great LT and force him to move to right side......the movements are different..... plus the the great LT's want to be paid LT money and not RT money.... if the next Munoz was in this draft, and we drafted him, then we would be forced to place him at LT and move Slater to RT.... which wont make him happy. moneywise even if he has athletic ability to change....

Interesting to see how the increased cap is going to affect who we keep or let go? .... FA right around the corner.....

Regular season MVP don't win chips though. I mean Lamar is 3-1 vs Mahommes. Herbert is 4-1. Herbert has weapons dropping like flies, historic bad defense, no run game, a bonafide coordinator with little NFL experience, and a very average GM at best. What's Lamar's excuse?

                  03) Caleb Williams * super fun to watch, but Kyler Murray compare rather than Mahomes
                  04) Bowers * pass catching TE w/high market share @Georgia, a move blocker w/Pro Bowl upside, gets separation and YAC
                  05) Odunze * lotta peoples fave player w/Larry Fitzgerald compare

                  09) JC Latham * has some avg to his game and gets beat, yet Lance likes him as heralded RT or Pro Bowl OG, and better than Alt on one account
                  10) Drake Maye * inconsistent boom or bust prospect, accuracy, decision making and processing in question @times
                  11) Latu * potential Pro Bowl 3-4 OLB w/TJ Watt compare, most skilled pass rusher in draft

                  20) Amarius Mims * a projection w/developmental upside, sounds a bit risky by my take
                  21) Austin Booker * player compare Maxx Crosby, day three prospect on some boards
                  22) Tyler Guyton * 'nother projection that could just as likely end up as swing tackle
                  23) Bo Nix * accurate w/Tony Romo compare, stats may warrant closer scrutiny
                  24) Quinyon Mitchell* not press coverage guy, better for off man/zone coverage
                  25) Brian Thomas * WR2 w/TD on 1/4 balls caught, mindset in question
                  26) Fautanu * gets beat and has some avg to his game, solid mindset/mental makeup
                  27) Kool Aid * cover corner w/game in ship shape, luck is when preparation meets opportunity and is the residue of design, punt returner too
                  28) T'Vondre Sweat * can play in even front, and will likely have large impact on overall D, keeps LBs clean, requires x2 team
                  29) Troy Franklin * undersized/lightweight linear receiver w/Chris Olave compare & Jalin Hyatt mention
                  30) Darius Robinson * didn't read anything that warrants ranking this high
                  31) JJ McCarthy * not a stand out passer, and chances are if he doesn't drink enough water he could come in @under 200 lbs, very much a cautionary tale
                  32) Ja'Tavion Sanders * pass catching TE w/Njoku compare

                  106) CB Cam Hart, LB Payton Wilson, RB Will Shipley, RB Blake Corum, RB Ray Davis, S Cole Bishop, OC Zach Frazier

                  139) TE AJ Barner, RB Braelon Allen, WR Brenden Rice, LB Cedric Gray, TE Dallin Hooker, TE Ben Sinnott, WR Luke McCaffrey

QB-hungry teams will not be shy, look at the Texans last year. QBs could go 1-4 (trades, and with Arizona getting a big haul).

WR Odunze to work out; WR Nabers won’t … After Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison announced earlier this morning that he would not be working out at this week’s scouting combine, the other two of the big 3 receivers in this year’s draft also chimed in with Washington’s Rome Odunze saying that he will in fact be a full participant on Saturday when the WRs work out, while LSU’s Malik Nabers has indicated that he won’t.

                          February 26, 2024 - 10:41 am

Second tier QBs to throw; WR Harrison won’t run at combine … Just a quick update to today’s earlier report on the combine. While star QBs Caleb Williams of Southern Cal and LSU’s Jayden Daniels will not throw at the combine on Saturday, J J McCarthy, Michael Penix and Bo Nix have indicated that they will. At the same time, star Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison, the consensus top non-QB prospect in the 2024 draft class, has announced that h will not be working out this week.

                          February 26, 2024 - 9:07 am

QBs Williams, Daniels won’t throw at combine … Saturday’s on-field testing and positional drills session at the combine lost some of its luster as both of star QBs Caleb Williams of Southern Cal and LSU’s Jayden Daniels have confirmed that they will not participate in the throwing drills for the position weekend. Williams, the consensus top prospect for the upcoming draft, and Daniels, the Heisman Trophy winner who isn’t all that far behind, will instead throw at their respective pro days. For the record, USC’s pro day is March 20th, while LSU will go one week later on March 27th.

                          February 25, 2024 - 9:18 pm

Combine set to start … Players have begun to arrive as we speak in Indianapolis for the start of the annual scouting combine which just may be the mot important phase of the whole pre-draft process. And we say ‘may be the most important’ part of the draft process because the large majority of players who are ultimately drafted every April are at the combine in February. Indeed, as we reported earlier, fully 85% of the players ultimately selected this coming April will be at the combine, here is the full list of players attending this year’s combine.

The players will be grouped into 4 groups: the first which stars tomorrow are the defensive linemen and LBs; the second includes the defensive backs and TEs; the 3rd includes the QBs, WRs and RBs; and the 4th includes the offensive linemen and kickers. Each group will be in Indianapolis for 5 days of pretty intense activity. The first day includes registration and orientation; the second involves the general medical exam; the 3rd day has the ortho exam, meetings with the NFLPA and media interviews; the 4th – the big day – includes the measurement session as well as the on-field testing and position drills; and the 5th has the bench press. Mixed in with that are interviews with teams as every team is allowed a 15-minute interview with up to 60 combine prospects. For the record, the first group will be on the field for the physical testing and positional drills on Thursday; the second on Friday; the 3rd with the QBs and WRs is on Saturday; with the big uglies saving the best for last on Sunday. As usual the NFL Network will have full coverage beginning on Thursday morning. Several other notes re the combine:
                          • While the on-field testing including the 40 get most of the media attention, the primary element of the combine has always been the medical testing. Before the advent of the combine, every team had their own doctors check out the players such that they’d literally be glowing from all the x-rays by the end of the process. Also note that players with significant injury issues may be invited back to Indianapolis for follow-up tests in early April.
                          • Of course, one of the bug-a-boos of the combine is that not every player actually participates in the on-field testing and positional drills as many opt out either because of a pre-existing injury or they opt to wait for their pro day. Needless to say, one of the big questions in Indianapolis this week will be how many of the top QB prospects opt to take part in the passing drills on Saturday. Stay tuned.
                          • The other part of the combine to note is that most GMs and head coaches will have a press conference with the media over the course of the week. And while few, if any, say much of anything beyond the usual coach-speak platitudes, every once in while there is a morsel of useful information to be learned especially if one pays attention. The other thing that goes on at the combine is that with just about every senior person in the building, teams will be laying some of the preliminary groundwork for future trades and the like.

                          February 25, 2024 - 1:57 pm

QB Richard, ER Hayes star in HBCU bowl … The post-season all-star game schedule actually just wrapped up yesterday with the 3rd annual HBCU Heritage Classic in New Orleans. North Carolina Central QB Davius Richard was named the game’s offensive MVP despite only playing one series. Richard is an intriguing dual-threat type QB with decent size (6-3, 220) and a live enough arm, although he is still generally considered to be more a free agent candidate because of accuracy issues. At the same time, Alabama A&M DE Zareon Hayes was named the game’s outstanding defensive player after he posted 4 sacks on Saturday; for the record, that’s more than the 6-1, 240-pounder had on the season, although he did record a respectable number of tackles for loss on the year. Meanwhile, other HBCU players who were regularly mentioned in dispatches from the week’s practises included defensive linemen Loobert Denelus (6-1, 290) of Benedict and South Carolina State’s Jeblonski Green (6-0, 255); CBs Eric Smith of Florida A&M and NC Central’s Brandon Codrington who doubles as a star returner; OTs Matt Foster of Virginia State and NC A&T’s Tariq Stewart; and Jackson State safety John Huggins who at 6-2, 210 may ultimately have been the most impressive pro prospect on the week.
