This morning, Daniel Jeremiah stated that Christian Haynes "can play all three inside positions."

We've got to always be looking for value.

Are Frazier, Nugent, et al to be downgraded as strictly Centers ?
    We play modern Harball.

And they got those guys because Andy Reid doesn't mind having scum bags on his roster.

After trading Hill, they've selected consecutively 2nd round wide receivers.
Kelce is living on borrowed time.
Good point. They didn't need to draft a Wr high when they already had a #1, one of the best in the league, and Kelce. Weapons weren't lacking. Still they used their first pick on Hardiman.

Strongly agree, Fautanu as well I’m guessing and thus my infatuation with Barton at 37 if no trade down.

Like a lot of people have said here, they are more than just one player away.
Trade down fever now spreading like wildfire

Allbright had him mocked to the Chargers a couple weeks ago at pick number 5

He was out a lot of this past season with injury

Continuing that philosophy is stupid. You want to assign a TE to help him? It seems the only way to go... given Pip's history against top-level pass rushers. But understand that there will be 1 less offensive weapon at your disposal. Even run blocking... Harbaugh likes to use his TE's on LB's and safeties. He won't have that at his disposal if the TE must help Pip run-block.

I would counter... you can't have it both ways.
Why not ? I thought TE blocking was mostly chip & go. It never occurred to me that a TE would be expected to go mano a mano with Mad Maxx. If the assignment is take out or redirect a LB or DB, not seeing a problem.

I could see the Chargers using a mid rd pick on Marshawn Lloyd if he is on the board, have a need for RB bodies and his coach at USC is now on Harbaugh staff.

                    Trade down - fine.

But I wouldn't pigeon hole myself into whom I should draft each round: side of the ball and position.

Against the Chiefs, the Charger interior needs to be fixed first and foremost, and they need to bring more pressure.
The Chargers actually have the pieces to bring pressure - attacking the Chiefs tackles, but one of them can't stay healthy
and they might get rid of two of them.

Sorry Boltnut, but getting a stud corner to take away Justin Watson or Rashee Rice doesn't do it for me.
The Bengal D gives the Chiefs fits and their corners suck.
We need to get pressure from the middle of the DL to beat Mahomes. he’ll just slip edge rushers if the front of his pocket is clean with wide open lanes to run in. Chiefs make average edge rushers look better by having Chris Jones disrupting the inside. Inside blitzes work better because they have to deal with Chris Jones. We need a Chris Jones.

Then Reid traded his first-round pick on Orlando Brown the following offseason. He used a second-round pick on Mitch Morse, a center, in 2015. He used another second-round pick on a center in 2021 (Creed Humphrey). He used three first-round picks on pass-rushers and traded another for Frank Clark. That's six first-round picks used on LINEMEN. They also traded out of their first-round pick in 2016 by moving down. They selected Chris Jones, another defensive lineman. When they didn't have a first-round pick in 2018 because they traded up for Patrick Mahomes in 2017, their first selection was defensive end Breeland Speaks in the second round followed by defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi. What's missing here? ZERO first-round picks on wide receivers and tight ends.

Fixated on right tackle? No. Name a center, guard, or defensive tackle who should be picked fifth overall. There aren't any. If we go offensive line with the fifth overall pick it will be a right tackle. Some, including myself, think Joe Alt would do well in that spot. Most of us want to trade down and take a right tackle or defensive player while acquiring more picks.

After all of the crap we've had at right tackle over the last 15+ years (Clary, Fluker, Barksdale, Tevi, Scott, Storm), I don't understand how anyone can accept Pipkins as good enough or think moving Salyer there is the answer. "Pipkins wasn't our worst offensive lineman last year. He was the second or third worst. When he's at his best he can be about average." Yeah, that's a real ringing endorsement. Lol.
He drafted one OL with a Rd1 pick in a decade+. We have 2 Rd1 draft picks on our OL. You can expand definitions as you see you need to make your case, Andy’s count of OL drafted in Rd1 still stands at 1. Defensive draft picks don’t count as OL Rd picks, don’t see your point.

Fisher was horrible coming out as a rookie, talk of bust was the most common description. He had a 57 grade for the year if you like PFF, but only a 49 pass pro rating since we’re talking about the mantra Protect The Franchise. He gave up 7 sacks and 43 pressures in less than 500 snaps. You should go back and check the evolution of Eric Fisher, you don’t remember it accurately if you think he was a great pick. He didn’t become even reliable at RT until year 3 and finally made a pro bowl in year 6. He was released by KC to save cap, had to sign a 1-year deal with the Colts - now I think he’s in MIA.

I don’t get why he’s being highlighted here, I wouldn’t want to draft him with pick 5, he never proved worth the top pick in the draft

Why do these big dudes even run 40's ?
I'm not really watching it. Watched 5 min and was bored as they were doing drills. But, was it Mims I saw had 11.18" hands? . That's massive!

I like him too but he doesn't have the best hands and I really wanted to see him run, and he didn't.

                          Pro day i suppose.

I can did go back and watch some vids on Guerendo.

Yes he has speed but he reminds me of Kelly. With a big hole he does damage but doesn't really break many tackles for being 220 and he doesn't really cut sharp, he kind of rounds them off which makes him less elusive.

Has the speed to get to the corner but he doesn't play to his speed like Wright does.

                          Not that interested.
