Didn't see this posted anywhere and if it was my apologizes. Texas A&M linebacker Edgerrin Cooper is scheduled to visit the Chargers for a top 30 visit before the draft. I'll have to dig up some tape on him.

to make a tackle, did not get exploded as you seem to suggest. The year before he did get clobbered in the ribs and guess what it was not because of Pipkins,
Fan favorite punching bag. The pressure came from the inside. People seem to believe that replacing Pipkins is magically going to turn us into a run first team.
He's also the problem to all our ills. Replacing him will resolve every offense issue we have, or not.

and help protect the QB on blitzes and against elite edge guys. You're talking about using Dissly as a blocking fullback, not a TE, which is fine.
But it has it's drawbacks. No safety is going to follow Dissly in the flat. That's a DE or LB. Pipkins doesn't need help on every play as you project.
He needs help on third and long against elite pass rushers. The easy fix is to have some help. Upgrading to a better OT may help or not.

of Allen couldn't get separation and took them 7 seconds to get open. Our other RBs also sucked. But you want to draft a ROT @5 because Pip sucks? All the grades
I've seen on the guy indicate he's a middle of the road OT. So we certainly can upgrade him. But with the WR position absolutely loaded this year when we don't have
a clear #1, and no real threat at receiving TE but you want a RT first and foremost? Is that about it?
