Verse is special man, the guys is different, some guys have that it factor I don't know what "it" is but that guy has it in spades...and next year Joey and Mack are gone, it just makes sense to get one of the top 3 pass rushers, but as much as I love Turner, Verse I have a shade higher...I will say this about Turner, from what I've studied and read about Minter's defenses, I think Turner is the prototype Edge player for his system, maybe even more of a fit than Verse..."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. Verse should be more talked about @ #5 or even #11. Not really a need this year but next year there could be a need because Mack is likely gone, maybe Bosa too. Tuli and Verse would be a nice tandem for the next several years. Can't got wrong with that pick.Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View PostSome people on here are obsessed with certain players, for some it's Bowers, for others it's Nabers or Alt or Harrison Jr.
I don't know what the fuck is wrong with me but I want Jared Verse on the Chargers so bad I can taste it, he's a fucking beast, a tone setter, he has bull rush power, counter moves, and a fucking motor that doesn't quit...IDK, nobody is talking about him as a charger and in most prognostications he's slated to go in the mid first round but what NFL teams think and what the mainstream media believes sometimes ends up being really different...thing is I really like Dallas Turner too, and he might actually be a better prospect from a raw talent perspective but I think Verse is gonna be a fucking superstar...I know I know we kept both of edge players for 2024 but they are both gone after next season...I think in a regular draft without all these fucking QBs Verse would be a top 5 pick no questions asked, he's so much better than the guy the Jaguars took #1 just a couple of years ago and I think he's also better than the guy that the Texans traded back up to get last year...Yes, their are only a couple of guys worth the 5th pick straight up and I think both Verse and Turner are easily worth that pick...
I'm probably going to get a lot of shit on here for saying this but the more I see of the OTs the more and more I feel like they are kind of getting overrated in this draft...and also, the one position that I would downgrade high is the WRs but only because there are so many good ones all the way thru to the 5th round, the more I think about it, it just makes sense to go Edge with the 5th pick if a trade down doesn't materialize...confirmation bias I guess...ADOPTED BOLT: Quentin Johnson
Season: WK 10
REC: 32
YARDS: 460
TDs: 6
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

We will get two WRs Herb can cook with.
JaLynn Polk.
Some of these guys have Tyler Boyd-dare I say Slayer traits.
Strong hands-route runners. ~ 4.55 Forty.
Question...do QJ & DD give us enough at deep threat ??

The way I look at it, we can still get an impactful WR later in the draft, and it won't surprise me to see the OTs slide a little bit after all the hype, the Edge group tho has something in common with TE, if you don't get that top guy or in the case of Edge one of the top 3 guys then the drop is huge to the next tier of guys, you can't say that about WR and you can still get an upgrade at RT into the late 3rd round early 4rth round, it just doesn't make sense to me to go anything other than Verse or Turner with that #5 or maybe Bowers in the 7-11 range, I don't think Verse or Turner will be there at 11...the bears and the falcons are going to jump on those guys like hot cakes...Originally posted by Chargers8491 View Post

God no. And that 90 minutes would be one post of his.Originally posted by powderblueboy View Post

Tired of watching him not use those long arms to his advantage;
tired of every Tom, Dick and Harry sticking their hands into his chest first before he attempts to use them,
and then he shoots them out wide, unconsciously, as if he's going to give them a bear hug.
He stands too upright and gets no leverage in run blocking.
At times, he seems lackadaisical and not quite aware of his surroundings.
NFL comp: Trevor Penning
A big project with tools.
Speaking of Penning, Chaincrusher should be allowed to swing on by for draft talk every year.
Give him a total of 90 minutes of online time in April so he can't filibuster entire threads.
Dude doesn't know shit about football. He called Lawrence the best QB ever while in college and I saw him on a bust list earlier this week lol. Which I don't agree with he is a bust but he hasn't been great either.
Called Guyton a good receiver and Palmer wouldn't amount to shit, we should throw every down, running the ball is a waste of time, etc, etc, blah, blah.
Fuck no we shouldn't allow him back. You do know he was banned once before under another name , no?

I assume he will be back unless he plays half a season again but they restructured his deal so don't know his numbers for 2025.
You never know but I just don't feel Edge rusher in the cards as an early pick in this draft.
Besides QB, Edge is the strongest possition right now.

Who are the best players in the Chargers? For me it is Herbert, Slater, Mack, Bosa, and James. After them probably comes Tuli or Gilman. 3 of the Chargers top 6 or 7 current players are ends. End is probably last on Harbaugh's list. If Harbaugh believes Verse is the BPA at #5 or #11 I guess it is possible, but i doubt it.Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

Matt Goncalves OT, Pittsburg is another potential mid round draft pick choice. He was team captain and played both tackle positions.ADOPTED BOLT: Quentin Johnson

Bosa and Mack may be gone after this season, which would leave Tuli as the only edge in 2025. Even if Bosa comes back in 2025, who's really confident that he will play the whole season without getting injured?Originally posted by Javia View Post

In 2006, the Giants had Strahan, Tuck, and Umenyiora. They took Mathias Kiwanuka in the first round of that draft. They were Super Bowl champions in 2007.
In 2010, the Giants had Tuck, Umenyiora, and Kiwanuka. They took Jason Pierre-Paul in the first round of that draft. They were Super Bowl champions in 2011.
I hate to quote the former Giants general manager who fell in love with Eli Manning, but as Ernie Accorsi said: "You can never have enough pass-rushers."
