The DT class is good... that's why I pencil us in @#37. Ruke and Kris Jenkins are my favorites. Jenkins is a Minter fit... no training needed. I really like Leonard Taylor, too. Braeden Fiske... McKinnley Jackson... DeWayne Carter...

Jer'Zahn Newton and Btron Murphy headline... but I like the 2nd and 3rd tier guys almost as much.
I'm not sure why... but Hall and Sweat don't seem to fit for me. Sweat may have caused himself to fall with that DUI.
They were discussing how the DT position is such an overpayed position now and teams are looking at getting them cheap for 4 years, along with the fact that Ruke’s tape is apparently really good. He was the 1st DT off the board.

the ideal draft would be to trade down with MIN for their 2 first rounders plus anything else they will give us.... and we grab Bowers at 11(though honestly I dont see him lasting that long ...he is so impactful that Reid might trade up for him,,,Kelsey is close to retirement) and a RT at 23.... then we can draft WR, or DT at 37..... and continuing to grab BPA's after that.....

From 8:40 to 11:20 Albert Breer talks about our situation at wide receiver. He said it's much easier to find receivers in the draft than it is to replace Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack. He also said there's great depth in the wide receiver position every year.

              1. Post "Like dmac said - Trust in JH" after every pick
              2. Add in any supportive comments you can make up for effect, something like "Its clear JH2 have a vision and are executing it", "these guys know football", "wow, that pick is a steal!"
              3. Drop subtle digs on TT and BS about how they would have picked a second string S/LB tweener from Liberty, "he's a football player" (unlike every player drafted, I guess)
              thx!
              And don't forget:

              1. "That pick was a reach"
              2. "That's a classic Trader Joe type trade-down"
              3. "He's a real Harbo-type player"
              4. "He's a real grinder"
              5. "He's got a great anchor. He's a trash can full 'o dirt."
              6. "He's a real measurables monster!"
              7. "All he does is makes plays"
              8. "He's quicker than fast."
              9. "He's a real combine hero"
              10. "He's a true generational talent"
              22 - TE Mason Taylor
              55 - RB Quinshon Judkins

Yep...good wideouts can be had in the mid to late rounds...good D-linemen and OT's on the other hand, are much more scarce and need to be drafted early...

I think subtle for TPB is akin to Wrecking Ball, that Miley Cyrus song lol.

My ideal draft is to grab Fuaga @#11 (best run blocker) then to build the defense with #23, #37, and #69.
Besides cap room, I think they were willing to let Keenan go for a 4th rounder because the WR group is so deep... they know a good one will still be there in the 4th round (along with a RB).
                    Protect the QB
                    Run the ball
                    Play great defense

I am good with Fuaga at 11 but a bit of a stretch leaving WR to the 4th round . Yes it is a vey deep class but the bulk of thm are gone the first 3 rounds. In the 4th you might be looking at Malik Washington at best. While he is an intersting sleeper, this level of receiver hardly fills the gaping hole the Chargers have at this position, one of the weakest groups in he NFL.

I am ok with OT an CB at 11 and 23 but want WR at 37 in that case. Dont want to miss all the good WRs in the 2nd wave.

In the last 5 drafts, an average of 15 receivers have been drafted by the mid-4th round. I count 20 WR's in this year's draft that are legitimate NFL starters (Malik Washington being in the 15-20 range). They are saying this is the best WR in many years... and we have a HC who knows all of them. He either recruited them, played them, or watched them closely for the last 3-4 years. I am confident in WR in the 4th. And unlike a lot of people, I think JP is very under-rated... and QJ wasn't used to his strengths last year. If you look at QJ's last 6 games (and extrapolated that out to 17 games)... he was an 85 receptions type receiver.

What if we had a #1 and #2 WR already on the roster... and just didn't know it. What if Harbaugh knew it...?

Lol....I've done more mocks than I can count and many of them I didn't get a reciever til 3rd round on... and still picked up 2-3 that I feel good about. Our reciever cupboard isn't bare....just lean. Palmer is pretty good, Guyton is decent if he can stay healthy and QJ could turn out to be a legit #1 or very good #2.
