A hot take that I agree with! Though I would be fine with taking Bowers at 11.

Well that is my guess - need to run the ball to keep the defense honest to allow the passing game to explode. Plus you need a running game to kill the clock and move the chains

Brendan Rice, Ainias Smith, and Anthony Gould. They've also told us that they will be looking at post draft cuts @WR.
It's not you and I that are trying to get inside Jim's head... he is being pretty upfront about his thinking.
We are a much better team with a trade-back. #11 is perfect for RT. The #23 is perfect for a defensive prospect... CB, DT, LB are huge needs. People are pretending that JP and QJ are bigger question marks than Pipkins. They are either so shiny-toy oriented... or they don't fully understand the Harbaugh/Roman philosophy.
Joshua Palmer (Day2) and QJ (Day1) are much better than any of the starters @RT, CB2, DT1, LB1.
Football is the ultimate team sport... people need to start thinking about the draft in those terms.Lone Bolt's Final Mock
Tyler Booker G, Josaiah Stewart Edge, Cam Skattebo RB, Mitchell Evans TE, Jamaree Caldwell NT, Isaac TeSlaa WR, Ahmed Hassanein DE, Craig Woodson S, Eli Cox C, Kalel Mullings RB
Sleeper day 3 pick: Tahj Brooks RB Texas Tech

So what does that mean? That they are going to draft a dynamic receiver like Malike Nabers or Marvin Harrison Jr. or Romeo Oudunzie
or does that mean they are going to draft a dynamic tight end like Brock Bowers were they just annialiate the middle of the field.
Rumors got Brock Bowers going 10 to the Jets. I really want him. For all you trade back guys talking about we’ll still get Bowers no way we get him if we trade back.

NYJ need an OT. Bad. Smith hasn’t played a full season in 3 years without going to IR. He’s 33. It’s why DAL let him walk. The NYJ are a dumb team. But I don’t know if they are so dumb thst they’d allow Rogers who just recovered from an Achilles tear at 40, go right back into the same situation knowing Smith will be gone by Thanksgiving and they are right back where they were last year. But if there’s a team dumb enough to do it, yeah, I could see the NYJ pass on a franchise LT and draft a shiny new toy.
Or the FO knows what happened last year and absolutely cannot let that happen again in a deep OT class and they do the responsible move and take an OT who will be good for 15 years.

You are right though, at 10, they should draft OT. And not saying that because if the Chargers trade back, Bowers might be there at 11.

So they aren’t getting some OT later who legitimately could develop by mid season and be OK. They’ll get some “project” guy…
Now think of the project scrub guy they’ll have playing LT once Smith goes down, and we all know he will go down, cause of that left knee or the hamstring, and teams d coordinators overloading that side with blitzers and Rogers on his gimp Achilles at 40 years old having to scramble away and make plays…..
I could see the NYJ being just this stupid…
I can’t wait….

KC just won back go back SB’s after trading away their elite WR. They had a bunch of average guys at WR.
So who was the pass catching “engine” of that offense? Kelce.

and at 11 - I doubt he gets by the Jets
But if he gets by the Jets - take him!
