Who cares if we win a SB?

Unfortunately that's the going rate for QBs, but at least Harbaugh can maximize his decision making and arm strength, even if he only slings it 20 times a game. Wouldn't you rather have Herbert than a guy like Mayfield, even in a run dominant offense?

Would just have to trust the judgement of JH2 in evaluating the players being drafted.

And since all offseason they have had a specific vision - I don't see Latham as 5 being in that vision

          I hear you.

I dont know that they pick Corum at 37, hopefully not. I have just read ina couple of places that the Chargers are prepared to do what they have to to get Corum. That worries me because he might not be there at 69

Maybe we package our extra 4th and something next year to get an extra third rounder?

I will trust Harbaugh on Corum.... personally not very impressed and he already has a lot of miles on him, but I trust the MFIC.

How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
              Let’s win one for Mack.

That's the going rate for top QBs. Harbaugh is advocating running the ball to set up the pass. That's a 50/50 proposition. We are not running the
football to win games in this league. You run to salt the game away in the 2nd half AFTER you take the lead. Run in the 1st half to set up the
pass, keep the D honest. If Herbert is tossing the ball 40-50 times a game, that's a very bad indicator.

Run dominant offense means you don't need a very good QB to win games. In that case Mayfield will do. Better yet a cheap game manager
like McCarthy who doesn't make mistakes would be a better choice. Trade Herbert now and rebuild the team.

By the way when is the last time a run dominant offense won a SB?

That is his strong suit, along with grip strength and complete engulfment lol.

Alt and Fuaga have good power, anchors and they really excel out in space.

TBH I think the "Latham at 5" leak put out by the Chargers, is clearly further advertisement that the spot is for sale and the price is reasonable.

A QB bidding war would be nice tho.
                    We play modern Harball.

Guess we'll have to be the first one in awhile!

The data on Harbaugh and Roman is very clear - we will run the ball, a lot. We will not be a pass happy team. Probably not even a 50/50 team.

Might as well embrace it and build the team the right way to make it successful.

Has Roman ever been OC with a QB like Herbert?

Good point...that is a new factor for both of them.

But I find it hard to believe they will change a decade of successful strategy just because of Herbert.

And I've made my feelings on Herbert well known - I actually think having a more well rounded team and NOT have it centered around him is probably a good thing for him. He can more like Robin while the OL/running game is Batman.
