Respect to 31 year old Keenan who is great at what he does, but beyond that our skill positions are over rated for what they are in 2024. Ekler looks washed. Williams cant stay healthy and if we are honest has mostly under achieved for a 7th overall pick.

This precictable dink and dunk offense has no explosive playmakers. You cant watch the last season or two and think otherwise

It is too high...he's a good player who should be drafted in the late 1st round. MHjr and Nabers will have a much bigger impact on their teams than a good TE. There are only handful of TEs taken in the first round that pan out to their draft slot.

Late first round??? I completely disagree.

It's not too high if he lives up to the hype. It is a crapshoot for all players. If we could trade down 3 or 4 spots and still pick him I'd be fine with that. The problem is we will have a lot of holes to plug depending on who gets cut for cap reasons. If we were to move on from both Allen and Williams than a WR at 5 makes sense.

Sounds good if the team had an O-Line that worked and gave our QB any time, but we don't and a TE like Bowers can make a big positive difference on this team day one.

Four long months to go to the draft, and we have no idea who the real decision makers are.

And were not? I mean KA is a solid receiver with little tread left on the tires and Mike Williams can't stay healthy. If anything trade Mike to Patriots for a Chance at Marv and the patriots get a receiver plus a new QB. This is what trading is all about. Mike has run his course unless he takes a massive pay cut here in LA.

It is if you have Tommy T and Johnny making the picks.

OL play absolutely needs improvement. But there are limited to few weapons for Herbert to throw to.
Yeah, unfortunately it's looking like QJ was a big miss. There were a bunch of WR/TEs on the board that could've helped the team. Now we need help at both positions.

I am all in on Bowers. Not only is the dude a great all around TE, he is an exceptional ATHLETE. A play maker. Gates was a phenomenal TE, one of the greatest ever and Bowers is way more athletic than Gates ever was. Athleticism is something this offense is sorely lacking (just watch QJ run his routes). Go watch Bowers play, he is the best player on the field every play, every game.

Four months early and I am all in on Bowers at this point. (BTW-He is a totally different player and skill set than Kyle Pitts, so please don't compare the two.)

That is who I was thinking of. The Giants pick at 6 and they need a QB. What would Atlanta give to move from 8 to 5 to get Penix? The Falcons are desperate for a QB. Kyle Pitts and draft picks maybe?

Other teams that might covet Penix include Vikings (11), Broncos (12), Raiders (13), Saints (14), maybe Seattle (16) and even the Steelers if they get blown out with poor QB play in Buff next week. Hard to imagine the Chargers would deal with the Broncos or Raiders, but both of those teams need a QB.

If Penix has a great game tonight, it could greatly improve the value of the Chargers' 1st round pick.

I don't think that should play into the process at 5. Now Nabers would be good value at 5 I believe but just because they may move from one or both WRs - doesn't make WR a higher priority. The team needs a lot everywhere... Best player at 5
