New England has traditionally had one of the smallest draft boards in the league. They also place a value on players and rarely budge on it because the draft slot and finances matter. So if they like McCarthy and feel he should be picked in the 8-11 range, you can bet your bottom dollar they will look to trade back and pick him there. The financial savings alone is worth it for them.
I keep saying that the finances of these picks absolutely matter to these teams. You don't overdraft a player and pay them an extra couple million dollars if you don't have to. That's the whole argument as to why Bowers will not go until #10 at the earliest. I still believe he goes later. Finances and positional value.

If he clocked 23.5 mph that means he's got Tyreek Hill top speed. Size, speed, and strength mixed with superior talent. Damn this is Galvatron!!!
I think those MPH converted to 40 yards is very flawed. They should just stop using MPH.
According to this, nobody is running 23 MPH.

Jeez….he doesn’t look that fast on tape but sometimes it’s hard to tell with the tall guys because they don’t look like they’re moving that fast. What I like best about him is he’s got that cold psychopath killer instinct like his dad had. No real expressions on their faces but underneath that quiet exterior is a real killer. Guys like that are just ballers all the time. The moment doesn’t affect them. Marvin Harrison Sr rarely said a word but wasn’t someone you want to mess with. He actually shot a guy in Philly that tried to rob his liquor store (look it up).

Hey "Auntie Alt" you better talk to Marcus Brady and Andy Bischoff.

            Try to keep up...

BB has been drafting for them. He is gone! And that would be stupid to go back to 8-11 and HOPE McCarthy is there while Minnesota is trading up and Denver and LV needs QBs.
I don't believe they will do that.

We are talking about a QB. Not a TE. QBs get over drafted all the time and will again this year. If you want one, relying on other teams to not move up for them is flat fucking stupid when you are #3.

So lately I keep hearing "character concerns" with Malik Nabers.
does anyone actually have anytjing remotely close to a red flag for this?
I think we've discussed his celebrations after a catch being perhaps a bit excessive but is there anything elae that I'm missing from my Google searches?
I'm being serious, it's okay if it's just speculation, I just want to understand what some are seeing. TIA.

There is enough traction to simply look elsewhere.
                      But really who knows ?
The Chargers got what they needed from the visit.
Any diva tendencies would be worsened by lack of touches and expectations of blocking.

Yup. Which is imho, a big and under rated reason why KA is no longer here.
It's going to take a truly selfless WR to be okay with being a role player. My immediate thought is Roman Wilson, but something tells me he's ready and yearning to play in a spread offense to truly shine.

                        No divas on this ride.
Legget has a humble background and strong character.
Not to mention the physical traits to develop into a dominant run blocker.

You know I was huge on CDJ as was PFF but Simms says otherwise FWIF.
I have to imagine he's more in play at 23, no?
